Realization of DreamsWritten by Chuck and Sue DeFiore
We all have dreams. Some of us dream about winning lottery and never having to work again (also most unrealistic dream). Others dream of going to college, retirement, travel. Still others dream of working from their home. Some even want to run their own business. Whatever your dreams are, realization of them is extremely important. We need our dreams to keep us going. For many of us our destiny is based on what dreams we have for ourselves. Think of your dreams as mini goals. There are certain things you want to do over next month, over next three months, six months, or next year. For those of you who believe your destiny is pre-determined and there is nothing you can do about it, I don't buy it. Yes, bad things happen. We all go through periods where it seems that nothing is going right for us. However, you can't sit there waiting for a miracle to happen. It doesn't work that way. In order to realize your dreams you have to make something happen. You and only you control your destiny and realization of your dreams. You have to set mini goals for yourself, and if you have trouble realizing those goals, ask for help. We all have something we are good at. Some of us, however, need help developing our skills. So ask for help. Don't just decide you can't do it. Also don't make your goals unrealistic. Start with small goals and work from there.
| | Defining Your GoalsWritten by Chuck and Sue DeFiore
Probably one of most important things we do with our Partnering For Your Success students is to help them define their goals. We discuss their need for both short and long term goals. This might sound trite to you, or you might say, Yeah, everyone says to define my short term and long term goals. Well, this is said and emphasized for a very important reason. These short term and long term goals help define how you will run your business, how much time you will need to spend, and what you expect to accomplish. They are cornerstone of running your business. Your long term goals are those 3-5 years down road. For example: Work Lease Purchase Full time Accumulate $250-$500,000 in wealth Own 20 Lease Purchase Properties Do 12-15 deals a month Do 12-15 consultations a month You get idea. Now for short term goals - next 6 months to 2 years Work Lease purchase business 5 to 10 hours per week Join 2 business groups Join Real Estate Group Do 1 deal every 6 weeks Do 4 consultations every 6 weeks - 2 for tenant/buyers; 2 for sellers
