Pulled to Safety

"Withrepparttar coming of dawn, repparttar 135726 angels urged Lot, saying, Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away whenrepparttar 135727 city is punished. When he hesitated, repparttar 135728 men grasped his hand andrepparttar 135729 hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out ofrepparttar 135730 city, forrepparttar 135731 LORD was merciful to them." Genesis 19:15-16

Sometimes, God has to drag us out of situations that are too dangerous for us because we lackrepparttar 135732 strength to "flee" there, ourselves. Yet, we often question God's wisdom, like Lot did. God told him to flee torepparttar 135733 mountains but he insisted on staying inrepparttar 135734 plain. Later, fear caused Lot to flee torepparttar 135735 mountains anyway; placing him exactly where God told him to go inrepparttar 135736 first place. vs. 17-30 "So when God destroyedrepparttar 135737 cities ofrepparttar 135738 plain, he remembered Abraham, and he brought Lot out ofrepparttar 135739 catastrophe that overthrewrepparttar 135740 cities where Lot had lived." Genesis 19:29

God's Chosen Vessel

God's Chosen Vessel

"The earth trembles under an unloved woman..."

Proverbs 30:21-23

Leah was always second best, inrepparttar eyes of Jacob and inrepparttar 135725 eyes of others. Her sister Rachel was always being exalted over her. We see a perfect example of this in Genesis 31, verse 33.

Even though it had been Rachel who had stolen Laban's household gods, when it came torepparttar 135726 searching ofrepparttar 135727 tents, Rachel wasrepparttar 135728 one who was searched last because Jacob and Laban suspected herrepparttar 135729 least.

And whenever Jacob and his family were reuniting once again with Esau and he feared for their safety (Genesis 33:2), Jacob putrepparttar 135730 maidservants and their children in front, Leah and her children next, and Rachel and Joseph inrepparttar 135731 rear because he knew they'd be safest there.

"Jacob ... loved Rachel more than Leah ..." (Genesis 29:30)

Often, it seems as if God's chosen ones are nothing more than second class citizens, inrepparttar 135732 eyes ofrepparttar 135733 world. So it was with Leah.

Leah wasrepparttar 135734 one who was ignored--unwanted by everyone but God, that is! She wasrepparttar 135735 one He chose to motherrepparttar 135736 tribe of Judah--His Son's tribe. Leah was His chosen vessel! (Genesis 35:23)
