Plants, Herbs, and Roots for ProsperityWritten by Sam Stevens
Plants of all kinds (including trees), herbs and roots have been used for centuries to draw money to a person or bring prosperity to a home. There are several ways to use a plant in this manner: You can carry some of substance on you. This can be as easy as putting a tiny bit of herb in a tiny plastic bag and put in your pocket. An easy way is to put a pinch of herb into a locket. Sew a sachet or pouch. You can buy ready made sachets or pouches that you can use for this purpose, but you can also sew a small one using an appropriately colored material. Green and yellow are popular colors associated with prosperity and money one. These sachets are then tucked under bed or somewhere in home, worn on a string around neck, put in a purse or wallet or concealed somewhere in home. Some people simply fill a potpourri jar with appropriate herbs and leave it in a prominent place in house. The simplest “Earth, Water, Air, Fire” Ritual is to boil herb for a while in water. The Herbs are earth, water is in pot, air is steam and fire element is stove. Occasionally stir herb in water while thinking of your magical intention. Strain plant material from liquid and sprinkle it around or outside home. Use them as Incense. Some plants are hypnotics so I don’t really recommend this unless you are certain that herb is not toxic once set alight. Traditionally though, herbs are set alight on charcoal burners and smoke allowed to waft through house. Here are some of more popular herbs used to draw prosperity and money. Most are available in your garden or from stores, but there are occult shops and apothecaries that carry herbs in jars: Alfalfa – Known traditionally as “good luck” herb I recommend tucking a sprig of this in your purse or in a locket. When combined with other money drawing herbs in a sachet it is thought to reinforce other substance’s powers. Allspice – Can be carried on person or burned as incense or sprinkled in four corners of house. It is thought to attract business luck or success. Bayberry – Bayberry can be bought commercially as a candle –“A bayberry candle burned to socket – brings luck to home and puts money in pocket.” It can also be bought as incense. Basil – Soaking basil leaves in water for three days and then sprinkling water at your business premises is thought to attract financial success. The leaves can also be carried with you. Bay Leaves – Bay leaves increase intuition and are good if you are looking for a promotion or a job. Tuck some under your mattress or boil them and sprinkle water around your home. Hallucinogenic so I do not recommend you burn these.

Palmistry, also known as Chiromancy, is art of telling a person's fortune by looking at lines and bumps on a person's hand. However, since 1920s, art of Chiromancy has come a long way. Chirognomy is a related science in which hand shape; finger shape, fingers, nails and texture and consistency of flesh are examined in order to get a glimpse into inner workings of personality. Dermatoglyphics is study of ridge patterns and formations found on fingertips and palm itself to detect and diagnose inherited diseases. However here we are dealing with what I would call “Romany Reader Basics” of Art. In an earlier New Age Notebook called Basic Palmistry I identified major lines and mounts of human hand. In this article we are going to examine other kinds of markings and characteristics that are common indicators of personality, temperament and fate. Bubbles and Loops - Bubbles and loops that occur on life lines, heart lines and fate lines indicate significant episodes in your life or a life that is broken by many odd experiences. Strong clean lines without bubbles are always preferable if you are looking for a serene and quiet life. Broken Lines - These usually indicate that a life will be disrupted in an upsetting manner. A broken lifeline can mean an early or tragic life. A break in head line can mean a period of insanity or mental illness. Crosses and cross-hatching: These marks on any mound or area of hand often represent stressful influences, events or people. Usually influence is a significant or important relationship. The deeper line more traumatic or life-defining experience is said to be. The nature of event is determined on which mound you find cross or cross-hatching. For instance, if you have a lot of cross-hatching on your Mound of Lower Mars you may encounter a lot of war or violence in your life. Crosses and cross-hatching on your Mound of Apollo can indicate troubles with career, confidence and success. On outer edge of hand, just below little finger and Mound of Mercury such marks are said to indicate how many children are in your future. If horizontal lines or cross-hatching occurs on your thumbs or fingertips it is a sure sign that you are under too much stress. Attachment lines: These are lines that occur above heart line and wrap from side of hand and extend out beneath little finger. This is supposed to indicate number of significant relationships or attachments you will have in your life. Healer Stigmata: a long horizontal line that is crossed by three shorter lines indicates this. It is a symbol of natural healing abilities and usually occurs on mound of Mercury just below little finger. Squares: If you find a square on your hand it means that you are a teacher or natural born leader and meant to enlighten others. The area of interest where you will excel is indicated where it is placed on a mound. For instance, a square that is found on mound of Mercury indicates a career in teaching or education. A square found on Mound of Venus below thumb can indicate a nurse, doctor or healer. Feathery light lines: These can be found all over hand and are usually an indication of failing health. If lines travel up from wrist to little finger it can indicate a chronic disease or disability. X's: X's found anywhere in palm usually indicate travel. If it is found on either of Mounds of Upper or Lower Mars or on plain of Mars it means traveling as a result of war or a military career. An X on mound of Venus (below thumb) means relocating for love and on mound of Jupiter an X can mean relocating for reasons to do with career advancement. Triangles: Triangles anywhere on palm indicate a decent upbringing and emotional or intellectual strength. This once again depends which mound triangle is found on. For example: a triangle found on Mound of Venus indicates emotional strength and understanding when it comes to love. A triangle found on mound of Saturn beneath third finger indicates incredible physical and emotional endurance during times of trouble. The Ring of Solomon: This is a line that circles base of Jupiter finger (index finger) and is found in hands of those who are said to be psychic. It is also believed to represent royal blood or ancestry. Stars: A star-shaped hatching of lines can mean that you will enjoy especially good fortune wherever that star is located. For instance if you have a star on your Mound of Venus, it can indicate fame. A star on your Mound of Mercury can mean success at relationships. Wherever you find a star on your hand, you are most likely to find good fortune unless it is located on mound of Saturn beneath your third finger. In that case, it means a life of arrogance and pride without prizes. Palmistry, also known as Chiromancy, is art of telling a person's fortune by looking at lines and bumps on a person's hand.
