PLEASE! DON’T MAKE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE ON THE INTERNET TODAY!

Written by Peter Simmons

Everyday I see a common mistake being made on websites all overrepparttar Internet. It results in lost customers, lost sales, poor visitor figures, lost profits and more. In short, it has a negative impact on all aspects ofrepparttar 119000 website and company concerned. Its also completely unnecessary and costing businesses dearly. Rectifying this one mistake would transform websites and businesses increasing sales, profits, customers, recommendations, etc.

Here’s a current example: buying a train ticket has been a problem for customers for years. Until recently all train tickets needed to be purchased in person from a main train station. This meant going there, joiningrepparttar 119001 ever present queue, buyingrepparttar 119002 ticket and then traveling home. In a large city this adds up to a couple of hours of your time which could be better occupied elsewhere. Recently telephone services have been introduced but they aren’t ideal either because you cant actually see any information to review it. Its passed to you piecemeal andrepparttar 119003 ticket is selected for you. The Internet however is potentially well suited to buying train tickets, customers could actually viewrepparttar 119004 train timetables from wherever they are and select their ticket themselves. Customers loverepparttar 119005 option of good self-service tools that enable them to be in control and do tasks themselves.

So, bearing all this in mind I wanted to: select my destination and travel times, atrepparttar 119006 cheapest price, buyrepparttar 119007 ticket online quickly, have it delivered to my home. All perfectly reasonable needs and wishes for a customer.

Three websites and two and a half hours later I’d finally bought my ticket. What happened? Well between themrepparttar 119008 three companies had not considered my needs and wishes, it was an exercise in frustration and futility. They hid information, made it too vague or maderepparttar 119009 process too inflexible. One site had a great looking homepage, which then failed miserably with text given onrepparttar 119010 buttons, which was so vague I was left to figure out whether they even sold tickets online. I’m now convinced all promotional offers are just an exercise to mess me around, leaving me withrepparttar 119011 responsibility for manually searching for every conceivable combination of journeys until I happened upon a good price or gave up from fury and frustration. All these things said in effect: WE DON’T CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT! -we only care about ourselves and our objectives. Clearly, it doesn’t matter which organisation you are, saying that to your customers isrepparttar 119012 start ofrepparttar 119013 slippery road to ruin and businesses with that attitude will not survive for long. At least, not successfully.

They all missedrepparttar 119014 point, their sites are not focused on satisfyingrepparttar 119015 customers needs and desires. The result, an unhappy customer that went somewhere else that did meet their needs and who obviously got their business. Millions of people travel by train and buy tickets everyday. Even if only a small percentage feltrepparttar 119016 frustration I did, which I doubt is that low, these companies and companies like them are losing sales revenues and customer goodwill. Did these disappointed customers think thatrepparttar 119017 company helped them fulfill their needs? No. Did these customers receive a positive image ofrepparttar 119018 company? No. Will these customers recommend them to others? No. Will these customers ever visit that website again? No. Will these customers ever buy from them? No.

%~%~ THE INTERNET CHRISTMAS TIME ~%~%

Written by Gian Luigi Ruggeri

I turned on my PCrepparttar day of Christmas. It's clear.

There were some tasks to do onrepparttar 118999 net of course. I had to checkrepparttar 119000 Graphic Art Galleries website, with my personal online presents to internet users.

You can still find a special greetings card atrepparttar 119001 start ofrepparttar 119002 main page, while some cool animated gifs have been removed now.

http://graphicartgalleries.com opsites/autorank.html

http://graphicartgalleries.com/links.htm

That made me feel all right, as having sentrepparttar 119003 greeting card to selected lists of contacts. I was on a Christmas mood finally, after too much stress.

I was thinking about a short travel for fun and amusement, finally.

But when I checkedrepparttar 119004 mail, repparttar 119005 following days, I didn't find a RE:... onlyrepparttar 119006 usual hideous spam messages arriving from not existing addresses full of stinking proposals in 99% ofrepparttar 119007 cases, but ten times more numerous.

So I understood that there are many, many persons that do not follow absolutely one ofrepparttar 119008 first advices that really help us live better, do not do torepparttar 119009 others what you don't want others do to you. Or better explained forrepparttar 119010 internet scenario, don't harass others, finding it a nice way to spend your time, but expecting that nothing arrives back to you.

Unfortunately not only my email accounts were overcharged with excessive annoying stuff. I found problems onrepparttar 119011 main business related and serious component of my activity, domain names.

I own many of these internet assets, and some are extremely important, and valuable. Some of them are of course active websites, as Free-Europa.com, Free-America.com, Free-Japan.com well ranked inrepparttar 119012 search engines.

I had to complete many renewals, and it was a month I was involved in this boring task, and I had to handlerepparttar 119013 managing of NamesLeaser.com. But it didn't loaded!

A possible solution? There are many. One isrepparttar 119014 following, I had just rejected a listing for a domain namerepparttar 119015 previous day, a short one word domain, but not a nice word for me, and active with a website with affiliate programs to commercial adult services sex related.

I don't work with commercial adult websites, I never did it, and I don't give for free links to commercial adult websites. And no one can decide for me!

I had to contactrepparttar 119016 webhoster, and as an answer it was told me that they saw no problems torepparttar 119017 website(...), but it was enthousiastically said that not important what I said or did, they could close my account at any time as they liked!

Gosh... there is still someone thinking that you can successfully work onrepparttar 119018 internet with no serious rules. And a new, more serious example thatrepparttar 119019 first helpful advice I wrote some paragraphs above is totally unknown by many, many, many persons!
