There were giants in earth in those days; and also after that, when sons of God came in unto daughters of men, and they bare children to them, same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all nations of earth shall be blessed in him?
But his bow abode in strength, and arms of his hands were made strong by hands of mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is shepherd, stone of Israel:) And children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and land was filled with them. Therefore God dealt well with midwives: and people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.
O Lord God, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?

So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before Lord his God.

He that is slow to anger is better than mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

The remnant shall return, even remnant of Jacob, unto mighty God.
