Our God Reigns

Written by Joyce C. Lock

There were giants inrepparttar earth in those days; and also after that, whenrepparttar 126564 sons of God came in untorepparttar 126565 daughters of men, and they bare children to them, repparttar 126566 same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Andrepparttar 126567 Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and allrepparttar 126568 nations ofrepparttar 126569 earth shall be blessed in him?

But his bow abode in strength, andrepparttar 126570 arms of his hands were made strong byrepparttar 126571 hands ofrepparttar 126572 mighty God of Jacob; (from thence isrepparttar 126573 shepherd, repparttar 126574 stone of Israel:) Andrepparttar 126575 children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; andrepparttar 126576 land was filled with them. Therefore God dealt well withrepparttar 126577 midwives: andrepparttar 126578 people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.

O Lord God, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?

Did ever people hearrepparttar 126579 voice of God speaking out ofrepparttar 126580 midst ofrepparttar 126581 fire, as thou hast heard, and live? Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation fromrepparttar 126582 midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all thatrepparttar 126583 Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt.

The great temptations which thine eyes saw, andrepparttar 126584 signs, andrepparttar 126585 wonders, andrepparttar 126586 mighty hand, andrepparttar 126587 stretched out arm, wherebyrepparttar 126588 Lord thy God brought thee out: so shallrepparttar 126589 Lord thy God do unto allrepparttar 126590 people of whom thou art afraid. Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: forrepparttar 126591 Lord thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible. Butrepparttar 126592 Lord thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.

Forrepparttar 126593 Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: That allrepparttar 126594 people ofrepparttar 126595 earth might knowrepparttar 126596 hand ofrepparttar 126597 Lord, that it is mighty: that ye might fearrepparttar 126598 LORD your God for ever.

Andrepparttar 126599 Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, andrepparttar 126600 king thereof, andrepparttar 126601 mighty men of valour. Then he made him that remaineth have dominion overrepparttar 126602 nobles amongrepparttar 126603 people:repparttar 126604 Lord made me have dominion overrepparttar 126605 mighty. Andrepparttar 126606 angel ofrepparttar 126607 Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.

And allrepparttar 126608 princes, andrepparttar 126609 mighty men, and allrepparttar 126610 sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomonrepparttar 126611 king.

Moreover concerningrepparttar 126612 stranger, which is not of thy people Israel, but is come from a far country for thy great name's sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house; Then hear thou fromrepparttar 126613 heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do according to all thatrepparttar 126614 stranger calleth to thee for; that all people ofrepparttar 126615 earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.

So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways beforerepparttar 126616 Lord his God.

After him repaired Nehemiahrepparttar 126617 son of Azbuk, repparttar 126618 ruler ofrepparttar 126619 half part of Beth-zur, untorepparttar 126620 place over againstrepparttar 126621 sepulchres of David, and torepparttar 126622 pool that was made, and untorepparttar 126623 house ofrepparttar 126624 mighty. And thou didst dividerepparttar 126625 sea before them, so that they went throughrepparttar 126626 midst ofrepparttar 126627 sea onrepparttar 126628 dry land; and their persecutors thou threwest intorepparttar 126629 deeps, as a stone intorepparttar 126630 mighty waters.

Now therefore, our God,repparttar 126631 great, repparttar 126632 mighty, andrepparttar 126633 terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not allrepparttar 126634 trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, sincerepparttar 126635 time ofrepparttar 126636 kings of Assyria unto this day.

But he savethrepparttar 126637 poor fromrepparttar 126638 sword, from their mouth, and fromrepparttar 126639 hand ofrepparttar 126640 mighty. He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered?

But as forrepparttar 126641 mighty man, he hadrepparttar 126642 earth; andrepparttar 126643 honourable man dwelt in it.

He draweth alsorepparttar 126644 mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no man is sure of life. In a moment shall they die, andrepparttar 126645 people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: andrepparttar 126646 mighty shall be taken away without hand.

He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead. Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.

When he raiseth up himself, repparttar 126647 mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves.

Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, repparttar 126648 Lord mighty in battle. To him that rideth uponrepparttar 126649 heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice. Thou didst cleaverepparttar 126650 fountain andrepparttar 126651 flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers.

God standeth inrepparttar 126652 congregation ofrepparttar 126653 mighty; he judgeth amongrepparttar 126654 gods. For who inrepparttar 126655 heaven can be compared untorepparttar 126656 Lord? who amongrepparttar 126657 sons ofrepparttar 126658 mighty can be likened untorepparttar 126659 Lord? Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand. The Lord on high is mightier thanrepparttar 126660 noise of many waters, yea, thanrepparttar 126661 mighty waves ofrepparttar 126662 sea. Who can utterrepparttar 126663 mighty acts ofrepparttar 126664 Lord? who can shew forth all his praise?

Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known. His seed shall be mighty upon earth:repparttar 126665 generation ofrepparttar 126666 upright shall be blessed.

One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. To make known torepparttar 126667 sons of men his mighty acts, andrepparttar 126668 glorious majesty of his kingdom. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

He that is slow to anger is better thanrepparttar 126669 mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

Wisdom strengthenethrepparttar 126670 wise more than ten mighty men which are inrepparttar 126671 city. Thy neck is likerepparttar 126672 tower of David builded for an armoury, whereon there hang a thousand bucklers, all shields of mighty men.

Therefore saithrepparttar 126673 Lord, repparttar 126674 Lord of hosts, repparttar 126675 mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies: The mighty man, andrepparttar 126676 man of war, repparttar 126677 judge, andrepparttar 126678 prophet, andrepparttar 126679 prudent, andrepparttar 126680 ancient, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: andrepparttar 126681 government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. The remnant shall return, evenrepparttar 126682 remnant of Jacob, untorepparttar 126683 mighty God.

How to Hear from God

Written by Daniel N. Brown

We want to hear from God so that we may be led to pursuerepparttar right things. Unfortunately, there are always three voices in every ones head at any given time; God’s voice, repparttar 126563 devil’s voice, andrepparttar 126564 voice of our own flesh. So, how are we to be sure to hear from God with allrepparttar 126565 noise going on?

It really is very simple. If we want to hear from God, we need to shut uprepparttar 126566 other two. So, how do we do that?

First of all, repparttar 126567 devil is easy to shut up. Psalm 22:3 says, “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitestrepparttar 126568 praises of Israel." Satan will have to flee when we begin praising God becauserepparttar 126569 Lord inhabitsrepparttar 126570 praises of His people. The devil is not gonna stick around while you shout “Hallalujah” torepparttar 126571 Lord.

Just shout out your praise to God. Praise Him for who He is, praise Him for what He has done, praise Him for His promises, and praise Him because He deserves it. As you are praising God, you will not hear fromrepparttar 126572 devil.

Our flesh isrepparttar 126573 more difficult to control because it never can get enough and is never satisfied. It is alsorepparttar 126574 most difficult to control because it is extremely self-centered. Even still, Jesus said, ”Deny yourself and follow me.” (Mark 8:34)

Your flesh doesn’t want to follow Jesus. That would mean having to give up many things. It doesn’t matter. We are to crucifyrepparttar 126575 flesh. (Galatians 2:20) It is a decision.

When you quietrepparttar 126576 evil twins, repparttar 126577 devil and your own flesh, it is much easier to hear from God. Now, that does not mean you will hear an audible voice, although you may, but not likely.

God speaks in many different ways. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice and they follow me.” (John 10:27) Clearly, before we can know God’s voice, we must be like sheep. What are sheep? Onlyrepparttar 126578 dumbest animals onrepparttar 126579 face ofrepparttar 126580 earth. We must become like dumb animals, knowing nothing, in and of ourselves. Being completely dependant upon God. This goes back to crucifyingrepparttar 126581 flesh.
