Our Gift

Written by Joyce C. Lock

If you knew you were going to stand before God, today (not in judgment, but meeting your very best friend) ... is there a gift you would like to present Him with? Do you plan to meet Him empty handed? Maybe you have a gift for God already. Perhaps, you never thought about it and would like to. What would berepparttar truest statement of your love? What type of service are you passionate about? Findrepparttar 122778 answer. Then, head in that direction. And if you still do not know, walk inrepparttar 122779 direction your heart leads and God will take you there. It does not matter if God calls you to little or a lot. (Faithful is He who calls you, who also will do it. Letrepparttar 122780 weak say, "I am strong,"repparttar 122781 most necessary part. He meant it!) What brings inner completeness is serving inrepparttar 122782 center of God's perfect will (Lu. 12:50), wherein there is joy in that He empowers us to do so much more.

Consider His promise ... "And every one that hath forsaken houses (churches), or brethren (religion), or sisters (family), or father (leader), or mother (counselor), or wife (soul mate), or children (followers), or lands (positions), for my name's sake (when He calls you), shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life."

Come as You Are

Written by Joyce C. Lock

Have you ever dreamed of being such a wonderful person and devoted servant of Christ that …

your heart overflowed with love toward your fellow man? others could, truly, see Christ in you? it would be a joy being in your presence? people would come to you, seeking godly wisdom; their ears falling upon your every word. repparttar moment you entered a room, repparttar 122777 atmosphere would suddenly change? whenever your mouth opened, repparttar 122778 most humble words would flow? from your speech would come words of comfort, healing, and direction? you would be able to knowrepparttar 122779 needs of, both, those near and acrossrepparttar 122780 way? you could actually hearrepparttar 122781 voice of God direct and help you in reaching out to others, as if He were doing it Himself? you could leave any situation and hear God say, "Well done?" We’ve all probably thought, "That could never be me!" But, scripture says it can ... that, when we walk with God, we never walk alone; to open our mouths wide and let Him fill it, to encourage one another daily, and to follow Him.
