Old World Perishes In Flood

Written by Paul Griffitts

Young Christians inrepparttar world today are bombarded with all types of "scientific proofs” that "prove" thatrepparttar 126505 biblical record is just a collection of stories or myths and could not possibly be true. Many believe that no Bible doctrine ought to be taught in our schools today but only science be offered even though our forefathers believed thatrepparttar 126506 Bible should berepparttar 126507 first book inrepparttar 126508 last book out of any educational institution. Todayrepparttar 126509 ones that would stop all biblical teachings quote a separation of church and state as beingrepparttar 126510 valid argument that no Bible teaching should be brought within our halls of education not understanding that those words are not contained withinrepparttar 126511 Constitution and our forefathers simply wanted to prevent any state recognized or official religion. I believe thatrepparttar 126512 theory of evolution is actually much more a religion than any accurate Bible teaching for there are many religions and many theories but there is only one Truth.

The student today is faced with many dilemmas in that science proves thatrepparttar 126513 age ofrepparttar 126514 universe goes back billions of years and yet Christians today still forrepparttar 126515 most part wrongly teach thatrepparttar 126516 Bible speaks ofrepparttar 126517 world being created in six days about 6000 years ago. This is simply not whatrepparttar 126518 Bible teaches even though it does tell us that Adam was made, formed and created about 6000 years ago. Let’s take a look at Genesis and see whatrepparttar 126519 Bible really teaches:

Genesis 1:1 Inrepparttar 126520 beginning God createdrepparttar 126521 heaven andrepparttar 126522 earth.

Here inrepparttar 126523 first chapter inrepparttar 126524 first verse ofrepparttar 126525 Bible, God instructs us that He createdrepparttar 126526 heaven andrepparttar 126527 earth but it does not tell us how long this took nor does it say thatrepparttar 126528 work was not completed. The word created is an interesting word, it isrepparttar 126529 Hebrew word bara and it means to create or to now have something where there was nothing. Sorepparttar 126530 Bible instructs us that where before there was nothing now there is heaven and earth. Then God’s Word says:

Genesis 1:2 Andrepparttar 126531 earth was without form, and void; and darkness was uponrepparttar 126532 face ofrepparttar 126533 deep.

There are many things about Genesis chapter 1 that should have arrested our attention immediately. First isrepparttar 126534 word was for inrepparttar 126535 Hebrew there is no verb “to be” andrepparttar 126536 importance of this can be shown if we turn to Isaiah 45:18.

Isaiah 45:18 For thus saithrepparttar 126537 LORD that createdrepparttar 126538 heavens; God himself that formedrepparttar 126539 earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I amrepparttar 126540 LORD; and there is none else.

Completness In Christ

Written by John Pape

Col. 2:6-10 "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesusrepparttar Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished inrepparttar 126504 faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, afterrepparttar 126505 tradition of men, afterrepparttar 126506 rudiments ofrepparttar 126507 world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth allrepparttar 126508 fulness ofrepparttar 126509 Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which isrepparttar 126510 head of all principality and power:"

"As you have therefore received Christ Jesusrepparttar 126511 Lord"

In order to know and understand completenessrepparttar 126512 first requirement is to receive Jesus. This is done by first a revealing of Jesus to us. Inrepparttar 126513 book of Isaiah. 40:3-5

"The voice inrepparttar 126514 wilderness; preparerepparttar 126515 way ofrepparttar 126516 Lord; make straight inrepparttar 126517 desert a highway for our Lord, Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low;repparttar 126518 crooked places shall be made straight andrepparttar 126519 rough place smooth;repparttar 126520 glory ofrepparttar 126521 Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; Forrepparttar 126522 mouth ofrepparttar 126523 Lord has spoken."

This scripture byrepparttar 126524 prophet Isaiah was fulfilled when Jesus came to Johnrepparttar 126525 Baptist. John wasrepparttar 126526 "voice inrepparttar 126527 wilderness." This is an example ofrepparttar 126528 revealing of Jesus - To continue inrepparttar 126529 first chapter ofrepparttar 126530 Gospel of John in verse twelve it says 'But as many as received Him, to them he gaverepparttar 126531 right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name. The foundation that must be laid deals with our relationship to Jesus. Do you reject? Do you accept? It is God's desire that you accept Him. You must individually receive Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord then you can begin to know His perfect plan for our life.

"..so walk in Him."

Once you receive Jesus into your life it is important that you "walk" with Him. How can two walk together unless they agree with one another? A walk implies movement in a particular direction most likely with a particular purpose in mind. The path that Jesus laid when he went torepparttar 126532 cross, died, resurrected and ascended into heaven lead torepparttar 126533 Father in Heaven. If you keep your eyes on Jesus. Which can be accomplished though several means. These include Bible Reading, Fellowship, Praying, and Worship. You need to walk with Jesus. The scripture points out that Jesus isrepparttar 126534 Word. A walk requires many steps to reach your destination. So isrepparttar 126535 Christian walk made up of many steps. Every moment requires an action that will lead toward heaven.

"..rooted.."

"He shall be like a tree planted byrepparttar 126536 rivers of water, that brings forth fruit in its season, whose leaves also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper." (Psalm 1:3) A healthy tree must have a stable root system. Not only doesrepparttar 126537 root provide nourishment it gives stability. It isrepparttar 126538 Spirit of God that gives your resurrected soulrepparttar 126539 feeding required for completeness. Prayer is needed to insure that you are being filled. Prayer is an act of communication. This is talking directly to God. Prayer bindsrepparttar 126540 relationship betweenrepparttar 126541 believer andrepparttar 126542 Lord Jesus. Along with a healthy relationship comes stability. A once devastated life can be made complete by being rooted in Jesus Christ.
