Name it, Claim itWritten by Joyce C. Lock
You've heard expression 'Name it, Claim it'. Though we'd first need to know intent of one's heart, phrase implies to Christian version of a spoiled brat ... "I'm your child. You owe me!" It has been said that God is honor bound to do as He said He would do. That statement is more correct. But, first, what did He say? God will love us in at least as many ways as He did people of old. But, we don't get to pick out our favorite verse, stomp our feet, and say, "I want it now!" To claim what God has named, we first ask Him to show us His will, to give us a promise, or whatever we need (to know His desire for our given situation). It could even be a Bible verse that touches our heart, wherein we can know that that is God's desire for us also (as our heart is where He dwells).
| | Hair of WomenWritten by Joyce C. Lock
At this writing, my hair is close to a hand's breath above my waist. It has been some variation of long mostly since being a teen, out of preference. Though, after having read an old book on thoughts and beliefs that originated around a woman's hair, with much name calling toward female gender, I did thorough research of scripture in reference to hair. Having discovered sheep verses goats being symbolic of types of people, I traced to find a definition of their hair as being offspring seed of each. Paul referred to himself as a type of father. Without going into various symbolic definitions of term 'woman', even as we perceive it to mean today, some are mothers by having literal children. But, even those without children, who teach children in Sunday School, take on a partial role of motherhood. Though, greater yet is when we take upon a spiritual nurturing role to spiritual babes. The offspring of a woman's spiritual seed would bring much more glory than appearance of her physical head.
