Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

"You, yourself, as much as anybody inrepparttar entire universe deserves your love and affection." - Buddha When wasrepparttar 130679 last time you looked intorepparttar 130680 mirror and said something nice torepparttar 130681 person you saw inrepparttar 130682 reflection? I sometimes wonder what repparttar 130683 world would be like if there were no handmade mirrors and, repparttar 130684 only reflections we saw were inrepparttar 130685 eyes and faces of those we love and who love us. I bet that would stop us from looking for what is "wrong" with us and shift our attention from whatrepparttar 130686 eyes see to whatrepparttar 130687 heart offers. Our life journey takes us down many different roads and often detours us away from ourselves. We forget that we are all human beings designed with imperfections. We may even be more supportive and encouraging to friends and relatives than to our precious selves... Our selves who long to hear those words of encouragement and support. Is it any wonder that we feel so bad when we have been so neglected?

I'm sure that we have all tried dorepparttar 130688 "right" things....you know, go torepparttar 130689 right schools, meetrepparttar 130690 right people, getrepparttar 130691 right job, marryrepparttar 130692 right person....Society often seduces us into believing that if we do all ofrepparttar 130693 "right" things then we will be happy and successful.

Change Your Thinking

Autumn in New England is a sensual experience. Wood-smoke fires fillrepparttar night sky with ghostly images. The air is scented with ready-to-pick apples and burning oak from hearth fires. Maple trees don their cloaks of red, orange and yellow for one last brilliant display of color. The honking of geese overhead signals that another season has passed. And, inrepparttar 130677 midst of all this beauty and decay, lierepparttar 130678 seeds for next Spring.

What I have come to know in my own life and, in working with others, is that our thoughts create our realities. In order to change your life you must begin to be aware of and change your thoughts. If your thoughts are not helping you or "working for you" then it's time to let them go like leaves inrepparttar 130679 wind.

Someone once told me that negative thinking wears a groove inrepparttar 130680 brain. Just like a worn out record, whererepparttar 130681 needle comfortably settles intorepparttar 130682 groove, so does our negative thinking. Negative thinking
