Looking For Answers In All The Wrong Places?

Written by Richard Vegas

Looking around at our circumstances we may see only mountains of problems, debts piling up, fear, failure, and defeat at every corner. Maybe you've looked around and thought, where'srepparttar answer, I need a new life?

Heart To Heart!

No one may be able to give you an easy answer for difficult circumstances, but there are some simple steps you can take today to neutralizerepparttar 123496 negative emotions that are making you stew in your own juice.

The most important thing to do is; stop looking atrepparttar 123497 wrong things. I didn't say they weren't there. But,repparttar 123498 more we look at them, repparttar 123499 bigger they get. The bigger they get in our minds, repparttar 123500 more unsolvable they appear.

Time To Gird Up Your Loins!

I guarantee you, repparttar 123501 more you think on a small problem, repparttar 123502 bigger that sucker will get. You will be able to figure out more ways than Carter's got little liver pills for it not to work out. That tiny little molehill, in reality, will grow into a problem harder than Chinese algebra to solve.

How? Because our mind has an amazing ability to show us ten ways to one how something won't work, if it's in our best interest to work. Have you ever wondered where that little voice inside your head got all those smart answers it feeds to you?

Probably not; most ofrepparttar 123503 time we don't give any thought to where those answers came from. Why? Because they came from inside our own head. So, we think they must be accurate; even when they have no basis or substance to them at all.

After all, we know more about our own life and circumstances than anyone else, right? We know better than anyone else how to fix whatever troubles us. Right? Yeah, right. But, for some reason or another, we can't figure this one out.

Heavens To Betsy!

Well, how did all this happen? We are looking atrepparttar 123504 wrong things. We're looking atrepparttar 123505 circumstances andrepparttar 123506 problems that surround us and then they begin to grow. The bigger a problem grows, repparttar 123507 more ways our head will prove to us it can't be solved.

Let me tell you this as plainly and clear as I can: You will NEVER find your answer by looking at what's happening in your life right now. I.e.:repparttar 123508 problem, trouble, or whatever.

Troubles don't have answers! They only intensifyrepparttar 123509 kind of emotions that stir up more trouble. I'm not saying you can't learn anything from them. You will learn more from failure than from success.

It Goes Without Saying!

If you want to get yourself out of a bad situation, you must stop looking atrepparttar 123510 "bad situation". You must stop meditating onrepparttar 123511 problem. As long as you do that, repparttar 123512 problem will create fear in you andrepparttar 123513 fear will keep you looking atrepparttar 123514 problem.

Serious problems may exist in your life right now. Health problems, money problems, problems on top of problems, but, I can't stress enough that looking at them, and meditating on them will NOT make them go away or make you feel any better.

Know this! Problems and difficulties are all temporary. I know it seems like they are permanent, and atrepparttar 123515 moment, you think your goose is cooked, but, not so. If you are alive and reading this right now, then you have to admit that nothing you have gone through so far has killed you yet. Right? Say Yes!

Day In And Day Out!

Whatever it is, it will pass. Sooner or later. I know you want it sooner. But, I don't know of any super-duper instant cure that will do that. Everything in this physical world is temporary. Only things ofrepparttar 123516 Spirit world are permanent.

Alice and the Journey of Life

Alice and Life's Journey

May 2003 Letters on Life #8

"I can't believe that!" said Alice. "Can't you?"repparttar Queen said in a pitying tone. "Try again: draw a long breath, and shut your eyes." Alice laughed. "There's no use trying," she said. "One can't believe impossible things." "I daresay you haven't had much practice," saidrepparttar 123495 Queen. " When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Carroll, Lewis, "Alice in Wonderland"

What are "impossible things?" Are there really "impossible things" out there? Of course there are, but there's also a line at which we stop and give up because we think "that's impossible." Perhaps what we really mean is that something is extremely difficult. The Queen said she practiced believing impossible things- talk about stretching your concept of reality! Mayberepparttar 123496 Queen was really dreaming of a reality that was beyond her reach. By dreaming, she was sculptingrepparttar 123497 life she wanted. It didn't occur to me before, butrepparttar 123498 dialogue between Alice andrepparttar 123499 Queen which was written over sixty years ago is a model for any discussion about goal setting. The essence of any such discussion is to visualize what you want and experience it as already happening. Do this when in a quiet state-repparttar 123500 alpha state- and make your visualization as real as possible. Experience it from as many aspects as possible. When you are in touch with your goal, think about how you're feeling, what you're saying and what it looks like. I sometimes imagine a big smile on my face. The more you can make it seem like a real experience, repparttar 123501 greater likelihood of it becoming a reality. Just sitting quietly experiencing your dream fully for a minute is powerful. The Queen did it for half an hour. The subconscious mind cannot distinguish a real experience from an imaginary one. Asrepparttar 123502 visualization becomes more vivid, repparttar 123503 likelihood increases thatrepparttar 123504 subconscious mind will act onrepparttar 123505 dominant message bringing you closer to your dream. The corollary to remember is that when you worry, repparttar 123506 dominant message becomesrepparttar 123507 imaginary experience you fear.
