KINGS OF KING

Revelation 1(KJV)

verse 4 "John to seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from seven Spirits which are before his throne;" verse 5 "And from Jesus Christ, who is faithful witness, and first begotten of dead, and prince of kings of earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,"

verse 6 "And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."

The title of this article might have been more attractive if it had read 'KING OF KINGS’. But before making a rash judgement that it is just another piece of heresy, let us proceed from a central point of common agreement. To every real Christian, Jesus Christ who is our personal Lord and Saviour deserves royal title of 'KING OF KINGS' and 'LORD OF LORDS'(1 Tim 6:15, Rev.19:16).

When we examine title 'KING OF KINGS' we easily deduce that Jesus Christ possesses a kingship and kingdom that surpasses that of any king that lived, that lives, and that will live throughout human history.

Daniel 2(KJV) verse 44 "And in days of these kings shall God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever."

Isaiah 99KJV)

verse 6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." verse 7 "Of increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of LORD of hosts will perform this."

Yet we can go further to identify another class of 'kings'-those who reign in life by Jesus Christ:

Romans 5(KJV) verse 17 "For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ."

These persons begin to reign by being born into God's kingdom:

verse 3 "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see kingdom of God." verse 4 "Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"

THE BAT,THE CAT,AND THE RAT Genesis 1:25 (King James Version) verse 25 "And God made beast of earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good."

There were three friends living on a lovely estate,on fruit tree lived bat;in villa lived cat;and in a hole under villa lived rat. One day they decided to trade places since they were bored with their individual daily routines. The rat took place of bat and had a hard time getting to top of tree. Once at top,the rat felt on top of world,then suddenly hawk on its daily patrol sighted rat and swooped down to make a kill. The rat barely escaped by dashing frightfully into a hole in old tree branch. The cat managed to get into hole leading to rat's home,and it initially felt like safest place in world. Thereafter it realised that it was too dark,cold,and stinking. To make matters worse,it was nearly caught for lunch by ferret. The bat seemed to inherit best lot of them all-there was enough to eat but home of cat seemed too bright and warm. It managed to escape being shot dead by angry master of villa. Within only an hour,the friends realised folly of their decisions,and resorted to their respective callings in life.

Genesis 1:26-27 (King James Version) verse 26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over fish of sea, and over fowl of air, and over cattle, and over all earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon earth."

verse 27 "So God created man in his own image, in image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

Jeremiah 1:5 (Amplified Bible) verse 5 "Before I formed you in womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to nations."
