It provides for us a very timely and practical example of how to lose or keep victory, even in these perilous times! To lose or keep victory infers that one had victory! And to have victory one has to be in Lord. To be in Lord, one has to have a personal covenant relationship with God through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. To enter into this wonderful relationship, one has to repent from one’s sins and believe on Jesus Christ Son of God as one’s personal Lord and Saviour. This is only covenant that guarantees anyone real victory in any battlefield of life! From 'negative and bitter' story of how these fellow soldiers lost victory, we can positively learn how to keep sweet victory!

From first text above we can see that when God’s covenant people experience defeat, they enter into a level or degree or type of captivity. Captivity is a state in which God’s people come under heavy yoke of satanic oppression. In this article, we shall look for way out of such an embarrassing situation. Obadiah 1(KJV) verse 17 “But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.” ‘Mount Zion’ is place that God has ordained deliverance for His covenant people. Deliverance is divine process of enforcing victory of Christ on cross (Col.2:15) so as to take away captivity of God’s people. This process could appear to be sudden or gradual and it could seem silent or dramatic. The divine agency of deliverance is anointing that breaks yoke of oppressor (Isa. 10:27). The anointing flows in light of truth that sets us free (John 8:32).
