Jesus Christ Died For Us

Written by Angelique Watkins

I would like for you to think on along with me Jerusalem, on Calvary. The time of departure is April 7, A.D. Friday morning from 1:00am to 9:00 am and this is where Jesus hung onrepparttar cross until 3:00pm. (This is to my understanding, for I am not a Theological Student at least not by man's hands. When I share I like to let others know please listen to Biblical teaching, read, study for yourself as well I like to share scriptures with my articles so others can read for themselves).

To be continued:

I will be sharing fromrepparttar 126961 Book "Gospel" of John. This Gospel was addressed to Christians. The history ofrepparttar 126962 life of Christ, with especial reference to His most important acts and discourses.

Let's look at Pilate making an honest confession, Christ's Trial and Christ's Reply. (John 18:37, 38)

Pilate therefore, said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I intorepparttar 126963 world, that I should bear witness untorepparttar 126964 truth. Every one that is ofrepparttar 126965 truth heareth my voice.

Truly Jesus was a master speaker and could could give testimony for himself under any and all circumstances. He has just made a statement ofrepparttar 126966 kingdom of God, contrasting it withrepparttar 126967 kingdoms of men, orrepparttar 126968 kingdoms ofrepparttar 126969 world, and now he makes a startling reply to Pilate's sharp question, substaningrepparttar 126970 idea of his Kingship. (John 18:37)

While reading Matthew 27:11 you will see Christ questioned, Mark 15:2 and Luke 23:3 you will see Christ replies.

Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again untorepparttar 126971 Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all. (John 18:38 we see Christ's Trial and Pilate's unwillingness to condemn).

Pilate feared men rather than God.

Pilate Desires to Release Jesus Christ (John 19:10-16)

Pilate now seems offended atrepparttar 126972 Christ's silence. Whilerepparttar 126973 charge against against him was found to be baseless, from which he should have been vindicated and released, Jesus sought to make no new revelations of himself.

Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? (John 19:10 Christ's Trial and Christ's Silence).

The Prophecy Concerning Christ Death: Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hathrepparttar 126974 greater sin. (John 19:11)

More impressed than ever by this powerful statement, Pilate again showed a desire to release Jesus.

And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: butrepparttar 126975 Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar. (John 19:12 Christ's Trial and They Demand Jesus's Condemnation).

Pilate prepared to give his judgement, taking his place in his offical seat which stood on a tesselated pavement called "Gabbatha."

When Pilate therefore heard that saying, be brought Jesus forth, and sat down inrepparttar 126976 judgment seat in a place that is calledrepparttar 126977 Pavement, but inrepparttar 126978 Hebrew, Gabbatha. ( John 19:13 Christ led to Trial).

This decision was reached, it seems, about noon ofrepparttar 126979 day, which prepared for and terminated inrepparttar 126980 Paschal Supper.

And it wasrepparttar 126981 preparation ofrepparttar 126982 passover, and aboutrepparttar 126983 sixth hour: and he saith untorepparttar 126984 Jews, Behold your King! (John 19:14 Christ's Trial and Outrages byrepparttar 126985 People).

The Resurrection of Jesus - The Risen Lord Appears

John 20:20 Appearances of Christ, After HIS Resurrection, Torepparttar 126962 Ten, Thomas was Absent The fact that Jesus did rise isrepparttar 126963 realization of all prophecy contained inrepparttar 126964 Old Testament andrepparttar 126965 New Testament Doctrine. The disciples were selected men, called of Jesus Christ to follow him and do HIS will.

Joesph of Arimathaea, being a close friend of Jesus, in secret, was kind enough to buryrepparttar 126966 body of HIS Lord, giving him due honor; but upon investigation after three days, repparttar 126967 body ofrepparttar 126968 Lord disappeared.

The doctrine ofrepparttar 126969 resurrection is powerful inrepparttar 126970 souls ofrepparttar 126971 believers. It works changes inrepparttar 126972 lives of individuals, transforming them with greater visions for life and service.

Let your mind think on April 9, A.D. andrepparttar 126973 place is Jerusalem now this is to my understanding. I will be sharing fromrepparttar 126974 Gospel of According to St. John.

The Gospel of John was written at Ephesus after St. John's release fromrepparttar 126975 Isle of Patmos, about A.D. 97. Apostle John whom Jesus loved, from his call till our Lord's Ascension, was never voluntarily absent from His Master's side: standing atrepparttar 126976 cross when allrepparttar 126977 rest were scattered.

Christ Appears to HIS Disciples (John 19:23)

The resurrection is a fact which Jesus Christ/Yeshua himself establishes here with his presence inrepparttar 126978 midst of those who, knowing of his death just three days previous, have been praying and mourning because ofrepparttar 126979 extreme wickedness of those who were responsible for his crucifixion. Death had robbed them of their best friend; butrepparttar 126980 news reached them thatrepparttar 126981 Master had spoken to Mary inrepparttar 126982 garden nearrepparttar 126983 sepulchre. Mary Magdalene bore word torepparttar 126984 disciples that she had seenrepparttar 126985 Lord, and that he had conversed with her, giving her words which she bore to them.

Thenrepparttar 126986 same day at evening, beingrepparttar 126987 first day ofrepparttar 126988 week, whenrepparttar 126989 doors where shut whererepparttar 126990 disciples were assembled for fear ofrepparttar 126991 Jews, came Jesus and stood inrepparttar 126992 midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. (John 20:19 Sacred Seasons, The Sabbatical Seasons, The Lord's Day Observed Fromrepparttar 126993 First By The Christian Church).

While reviewing Luke 24:36 it shared on recordrepparttar 126994 Appearances of Christ After HIS Resurrection, Torepparttar 126995 Ten and Thomas was Absent.

Then wererepparttar 126996 disciples glad, forrepparttar 126997 presence ofrepparttar 126998 Lord brought joy torepparttar 126999 seeker's soul. They rejoiced inrepparttar 127000 realization of their hope. They sawrepparttar 127001 Lord, him whomrepparttar 127002 Prophet Isaiah said was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquites, repparttar 127003 chastisement of peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed.

And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then wererepparttar 127004 disciples glad, when they sawrepparttar 127005 Lord. (John 20:20 Appearances of Christ, After HIS Resurrection, Torepparttar 127006 Ten, Thomas was Absent).

Jesus had come to earth to perform a mission. Jesus came freely and willingly, HIS Mission is in accordance withrepparttar 127007 will of God. The Father has work to be done, a schedule by which it must be done, and he had sent HIS Son to do it.

Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. (John 20:21 Apostles Instructions).

The Holy Ghost is a divine preparation whom God gives through HIS Son Jesus Christ, and HE is not only preparation for service, but HE is power.

And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive yerepparttar 127008 Holy Ghost: (John 20:22 Holy Spirit Given).

The Apostles were to go forth and enter upon their work with interest of himself. They hadrepparttar 127009 power now, andrepparttar 127010 time for results is at hand.

Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained. (John 20:23 Apostles Remit Sins).

Thomas was also called Didymus was not present at this time. He did not believe when they told himrepparttar 127011 Master had appeared and then said "Except I shall see in his handsrepparttar 127012 print ofrepparttar 127013 nails, and put my finger intorepparttar 127014 print ofrepparttar 127015 nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe."
