Then just as you overcome desire for easy money and free riches, you spot another banner offering "We'll submit your site to Top Search Engines for $49.00!" Yes - well, there are those that may do that for you, but it won't help.All extreme noise and excessive hype surrounding what are bare necessities of internet marketing has noisily drowned out calm, quiet voices of folks that can actually do you any good. The serious, working professionals that truly understand what it takes to gain *quality* traffic for your web site. Search engine optimizers, permission email marketers, traffic analysis experts and community building software companies have been painted with a haze of guilt and shame due to hyperbole that has smeared name of Web Marketers -- until now. Clearly it's time for serious marketing professionals to get some respectability by forming a professional organization requiring high ethical standards and providing best practices guidelines to establish certification criteria for members. The World Association of Internet Marketers (WAIM) held an organizing meeting on April 11 in Las Vegas, Nevada during first annual U.S. "Internet Marketing Strategy Days", one of three events held worldwide by fledgling organization. Event organizer and WAIM interim president Lennart Svanberg of Stockholm, Sweden arranged international cast of presenters and workshop leaders for first U.S. event. Pick up stack of mail that you receive in mail today. How much of it do you consider “junk” mail? Do you stand over wastebasket and take “he loves me, he loves me not” approach to it tossing about every third piece in trash without even opening it.For next week, rather than tossing that junk in trash, hang on to it for evaluation purposes after reading this article. After tossing out what you have considered to be junk mail, do you still have stuff that you’ve opened but goes immediately to trash without reading it? Ok, for this same next week set that stuff in another pile. Now after putting all other mail in its proper queue lets see what’s left. You now may have some mail left that needs your attention but not in terms of paying a bill, answering a client or depositing that customer check.
