What is MLM (Multi-Level Marketing)? Multi-level marketing (also known as network marketing) programs operate on a similar principle of paying people who are not traditional employees of company to drum up business. Although offline world of MLM has programs with varying reputations and degrees of success, online MLM industry is reputed to consist mostly of scams. If you introduce someone to business as a seller (as opposed to a customer) you can earn money either directly for referring them or indirectly as commissions for sales that they make. Depending on number of levels in program, you may also earn money when one of your referred sellers introduces a new seller to program.

Sounds pretty clear, right? Time to add another layer of complexity. A 2-tier program rewards you for customers you attract and customers that are attracted by any seller you directly refer to program. If based on definitions above, you're thinking that a 2-tier program sounds like an MLM with 2 levels, you're absolutely right. Unfortunately, definition of MLM with which we're working doesn't tell whole story.

Writing articles is another great way to promote your affiliate program and it won't cost you a cent. All you have to do is write articles that are associated with affiliate program you are promoting. At end of each article, will be best time to promote your affiliate program. Make sure that affiliate program you are promoting is relevant to article, you'd be suprised at how many people get this wrong.

In this particular article I discussed advantages and disadvantages of text and html email formats. At end of article I presented an autoresponder that is capable of performing both formats.

Custom Error Pages

If you are not using custom error pages to help lost visitors, then you should. Believe it or not up to 10% of your visitors are going to see an error page and by having custom error pages that will help your lost visitor navigate to a destination of your choice. Up to 80% of visitors that receive an error page will leave your web site completely, a custom error page is great way to keep your visitor on your web site, by pointing way for them.
