Intuition At Home

Written by Sonia Choquette

Inrepparttar past few weeks I have spent a lot of time talking to many people about nurturing intuition in children. In those conversations, one ofrepparttar 128821 most frequent messages I hear from parents is just how painful life has been for them because they lost touch with their own inner voice and don't listen to their own heart in life, and how they want better for their kids. In fact, repparttar 128822 number of stories of regret, lost opportunity, struggle and even sickness resulting from being led by other than one's own intuition are endless.

The more I hear from peoplerepparttar 128823 more I realize just what a profound wounding being out of touch with your intuition actually is. I believe losing a connection with your sixth sense is just as profound of a loss as losing a connection with any one of your other senses would be, if not more so. Our intuition isrepparttar 128824 lifeline to our Source, God. It isrepparttar 128825 voice that helps us remain in integrity with our real nature, our essence. Being aware of, honoring and followingrepparttar 128826 guiding wisdom of our intuition isrepparttar 128827 most reliable way to create lives that fulfill our deepest dreams and desires. As important as intuition is, it is no wonder that losing touch with it does so often bear out such unfulfilled lives. Knowing this, I believe that intuition should be perceived as our first sense, not our last, and should never berepparttar 128828 sense we ignore or throw away?

I think we lose touch with this inner voice when we are young. We lose it throughrepparttar 128829 million and one subtle ways in which we are told that our feelings are not reliable, and cannot be trusted. Or are told that what we feel is not real, or not important and cannot direct our life. The injuries to our spirit, repparttar 128830 voice of our intuition, are usually so subtle that they can never be specifically identified. Rather than dying a death by dramatic blows, it is my observation that intuition usually dies a death of a thousand tiny pinpricks, suffered as we grow up.

The good new about our intuition is that even though some of us have become disconnected to it, because it is inherent to our Spiritual Nature, it is totally possible to reconnect with it in our own lives as well as preserve it inrepparttar 128831 lives of our children. All it requires to do this is to createrepparttar 128832 proper environment for your intuition to re-enter your life.

The first suggestion for doing this is to begin by paying attention to your own feelings. As you know from your own experience, we do not necessarily do what we feel when growing up, but rather we do what we observerepparttar 128833 important people in our lives doing. Therefore, if you want your children to connect with their intuition, you must demonstrate how to do this by connecting to yours first.

Begin with giving attention torepparttar 128834 feelings in your body as you move throughrepparttar 128835 day because this is how intuition gets your attention. Does it come to your attention in your belly, your chest, your throat, or somewhere else in your body? Where? Be aware. Notice.

Next, acknowledge your own intuitive feelings as they come up in your life, and share these feelings openly and without a lot of drama with your children. Be certain not to put a negative or unnatural spin on these feelings when you do speak about them, such as describing intuition as "weird" or "bizarre" or "scary" as some people do. After all, what kid wants to emulate something "weird" "bizarre" or scary?" Probably not yours.

As An Intuitive

Written by Sonia Choquette

As an intuitive and spiritual teacher, my mission in life has long been to guide people toward creating and experiencingrepparttar kind of lives their hearts desire. Lives that are physically grounded, emotionally creative, and intellectually engaging, where one feels loved, listened to, intuitive, inspired, and spiritually fulfilled. I not only believe this kind of life is possible, I actually believe it is our birthright and our Creator's natural plan for us.

Unfortunately very few people are actually having this kind of life experience. More common are people who are feeling exhausted, overworked, overwhelmed and emotionally drained and empty. Their physical bodies are suffering, their creativity dried up, and their sense of personal direction veering way off course. Not only do many people feel seriously out of balance, they are in many cases even having what I call "out-of-body" lives where they are merely existing and barely experiencing life at all.

What I share with my clients is that most of our problems can be traced to one of our seven psychic energy centers, known torepparttar 128819 metaphysically minded as "chakras", from their Hindi term which means spinning wheel, which from an energetic perspective is what a chakra looks like. These centers are satellites of activity that govern our physical, emotional, psychic and spiritual well being. In other words, they give usrepparttar 128820 ability to not only live our lives, but to actually love them.

Torepparttar 128821 rational Western mindrepparttar 128822 ideas that we are comprised of energy centers that usher in life force and assist us in channeling our expression and creativity intorepparttar 128823 physical plane seems far fetched and unlikely. And yet even our own language reveals our natural intuitive awareness of these centers and how they affect our lives. We say, for example,

"He galls me!" of someone who invades our boundaries and overrides our authority.

"Wow, that knocks me off my feet" ofrepparttar 128824 new love interest that upsets our concentration and routine.

"She has a heart of gold" of someone who opens our heart and touches us in a meaningful way.

When this satellite system is balanced and operating as it is intended, we experience life in an energetically fulfilling way. We feel grounded, emotionally safe, clear in our decisions and self direction, open to giving and receiving love, effective and creative in all forms of expression, inspired, imaginative and intimately connected to our spirit, others and to God. Such a life is filled with blessings, grace synchronicities and abundant satisfaction.

The key to having such lives lies in keeping these centers balanced. This may sound difficult and yet one more thing "to do" in our jam-packed existence, but in fact it really isn't, especially once you understand what throws them out of balance inrepparttar 128825 first place. . Here are some great remedies to demonstraterepparttar 128826 principles from my latest book "True Balance: A Commonsense Guide for Renewing Your Spirit". They are practical, playful, simple--andrepparttar 128827 best part is, they work. These are not another round of .should do.s.. We all know what we .should. do, but who hasrepparttar 128828 time? These are immediate and appealing remedies that you will enjoy doing, and will bring results.

Your sense of security is found inrepparttar 128829 first chakra. You can tell you have a solid foundation, or first chakra, if you aren't anxious or worry much. Need a quick fix to feel grounded? Need to take a stand but feel you.re on shaky ground? Wear really good socks. You'll notice it.s impossible to have a really good day when you have a hole in your sock! When you really need to feel solid, rub Vicks VapoRub onrepparttar 128830 soles of your feet. Take a grounding walk and bring your awareness torepparttar 128831 moment, thinking of nothing else except how you are connecting torepparttar 128832 earth, and how it is supporting you right now.

Your second chakra governs sensuality, creativity and vitality. When it is balanced you feel alive, engaged and excited by life. You feel sexy, creative and joyful. When this chakra is out of balanced you will feel depressed, tired, uninterested in sex, and basically emotionally flat. Working with clay is a favorite second chakra remedy of mine. There is something fundamentally gratifying to your sensual nature when you slap a big piece of wet slippery clay down on a hard surface and begin to shape it into something meaningful. This remedy brings out feelings and stimulates your imagination and creativity atrepparttar 128833 same time. Baking bread is another wonderful second chakra remedy. As with clay, there is something very sensually satisfying in working with dough, slapping it onto a hard surface and kneading it. .
