IntuitionWritten by Kenia Morales
Did you ever get a feeling or gain notion of a specific situation without any logical explanation? Well, that is your intuition. When you least expect it intuition reaches out and hits you with information that you have no idea were it came from. The problem with this type of feeling or knowledge is that we have no logical explanation for it and often do not follow what it’s trying to tell us. However, many find that when their intuition is over looked, it later proves itself to be a fact and regret not following it. Well, I will tell you about what happened to me when I ignored my intuition. When I gave birth to my second daughter I had just moved to another state. Therefore, I did not have a pediatrician for my daughters. But, my Doctor and a nurse both recommended one and I followed their advice. When I took my newborn several days later for a check up there was something wrong. I had a bad feeling about this man and every time I met with him negative “gut feeling” would come back. I even discussed it with my husband and he suggested we change Doctor. I told him that there was no rational explanation in order for me to change him. Within several more visits my “gut feeling” disappeared. After a while I learned to appreciate him and though he was a great doctor.

The world we are living in is changing at a fast pace. Never before in history of mankind that change was so enormous and rapid. This roller coaster ride of change is affecting every aspect of our lives. From relationship to work, from pursuit of happiness to quest for spirituality. Some authors have called it a Future Shock, others have called it Mega Trends, but whatever tag you give, it is there. In spite of massive change what is interesting to note is emergence of a substantial amount of new thinking and awareness about who we are as human being? What makes us click? What is our real nature? How do we relate to others both in our personal and in professional lives? No time in history can be more significant than present to re look at our lives and how we relate to it. One of aspects of today’s fast paced life is our involvement with work. Looking at work and life more closely reveals what I call need of a balanced approach. But question is what balance means to us in today’s changing times? Clearly, we can all define balance in many ways but most of all today’s time has given us an opportunity to create a definition of Balance of our own.
