Internet Promotion: Link ExchangeWritten by Richard Lowe
Most good web sites have a "links" or "favorites" section which recommends other good sites. Sometimes these sites are related in some way to primary purpose of site, and sometimes they have nothing to do with it at all.
This is a great idea and every site should have one. Why? It allows you to "exchange links" with other webmasters. This is a great way to get some additional traffic to your site for little effort.
Here's how it works. You are a webmaster with a site about peanuts surfing web. You come across another site all about peanuts and it looks pretty good. You add that site to your links page, then send webmaster an email requesting that he put your link on his page (make sure he has a links page first). If you have some banners or buttons, attach those to email (if appropriate) and offer to let him use one of those. Be sure to make it easy for him by including all of URLs and other data that he needs.

Also, make sure that your description further develops your title, while providing all means necessary for your prospects to connect with you NOW. 2. Take Advantage of FFA Links Submitting your site to Free-For-All Link pages has become an even better way to advertise than in recent past with invent of Free Link Finder. Take Advantage of Paid Links Everybody likes free stuff, but there's something you should know. Advertising on Internet is about placement - more precisely, where your ad is physically on page, when a potential client visits website. That's why you should also use paid links. If you can afford it, go for premium or "TOP ADS". These are usually ads people see first. They pull 5 to 10 times as much traffic as free or "average ads". 4. Take Advantage of Per Inquiry Advertising
