In God We TrustWritten by Joyce C. Lock
The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. As for God, his way is perfect; word of LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. Offer sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in LORD. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember name of LORD our God. Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before sons of men! The LORD redeemeth soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore children of men put their trust under shadow of thy wings. Trust in LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Commit thy way unto LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And LORD shall help them and deliver them: he shall deliver them from wicked, and save them, because they trust in him. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in LORD. Blessed is that man that maketh LORD his trust, and respecteth not proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. They trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in multitude of their riches; But I am like a green olive tree in house of God: I trust in mercy of God for ever and ever. Thou, O God, shalt bring them down into pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee. What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in covert of thy wings. Selah. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. The righteous shall be glad in LORD, and shall trust in him; and all upright in heart shall glory. In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. For thou art my hope, O LORD God: thou art my trust from my youth. But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in LORD God, that I may declare all thy works. I will say of LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. O Israel, trust thou in LORD: he is their help and their shield. O house of Aaron, trust in LORD: he is their help and their shield. Ye that fear LORD, trust in LORD: he is their help and their shield. It is better to trust in LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in LORD than to put confidence in princes. So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word. They that trust in LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

Thus saith Lord, Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning work of my hands command ye me. Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not ordinance of their God: they ask of me ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God. They shall ask way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to Lord in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten. Ask ye of Lord rain in time of latter rain; so Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in field. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. And when daughter of said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, king said unto damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee. And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto half of my kingdom. And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John Baptist. But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of cup that I drink of? and be baptized with baptism that I am baptized with? And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question. Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because Lord hath need of him. And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; and answer me: The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? And after that they durst not ask him any question at all.
