Hypocrites Enjoying The Freedom Of Religion

Written by Ryan Kelly

In my last article "Listen My Children And You Shall Hear," I purposely imposed a situation where I included all Christians asrepparttar enemy inrepparttar 126661 battle for a society based on freedom for all. I received a few responses that anyone would expect to receive when they choose to removerepparttar 126662 gray areas. While one might believe I hate Christians, it's absolutely not true, andrepparttar 126663 fact that I speak highly ofrepparttar 126664 right to freedom of religion indicates my true feeling. What I do dislike is any group that does not hold true to their creed. Being a member of any group, organization, or religion has some responsibility that goes along with being a part it.

One response stated: This isrepparttar 126665 reason why this party has been rejected forrepparttar 126666 highest office. Not all Democrats hold to this view and how illogical to lump all Christians into this category.

I had hoped that I would get that customary "lumping all Christians into this category" remark. If someone in a group that I belong to is spewing out misleading and hateful dissertations that destroyrepparttar 126667 very ideology of my group's beliefs, I'm going to stand up and make them accountable. So far, I've not seen many good Christians impedingrepparttar 126668 efforts of Falwell, Dobson, Robertson, and others who destroyrepparttar 126669 very concepts of Christianity. When I see that happening then I'll stop my lumping.

Another response:

I must be missing something in life. I am a "born again" Christian and I have never had anyone complain about my zeal. Perhaps I don't have any. I don't know ifrepparttar 126670 threat you feel is real or not, but I think what you are speaking of is not a great movement toward fundamentalism, but more so a great silent majority being awakened.

Good people don't complain about zeal, they tolerate it, and I'm not disapproving of zeal. Properly administered it is a worthy practice. However, used excessively and without decency, as it is with fundamentalists, it becomes an undesirable behavior that defeats its purpose. When Christians are aligned withrepparttar 126671 zealotry of bigots and money collectors, they include themselves in that behavior. When this silent majority wakes up their most important task is to separate themselves from those that destroyrepparttar 126672 true Christian message.

Take No Thought For Your Life

Written by Daniel N. Brown

Do you worry? Are you concerned about your future torepparttar point where it steals your joy? Jesus said in Matthew 6:25, “Take no thought for your life.”

That seems simple enough, but for some reason we don’t get it. We think we have to run our own lives and make things happen. If something isn’t going right we think we have to fix it. There’s nothing more frustrating than trying to make something happen that is never meant to happen.

I’ve heard it said that if you try to teach a pig to sing, it will frustrate you and irritaterepparttar 126660 pig. If that pig is meant to sing God will lead him to sing without your help.

Sometimes, we are to just take our hands off of things and let God take care of it. Let Him do what only He can do and not worry aboutrepparttar 126661 outcome. Believe that He has your best interest in mind for He has a wonderful plan for each believer. (Jeremiah 29:11) God wants to govern our lives. When we become saved, repparttar 126662 Holy Spirit comes to live in our hearts and wants full control. We must die torepparttar 126663 flesh and give Him that control or else we will be fighting against Him. “God resistsrepparttar 126664 proud but gives grace torepparttar 126665 humble.” (James 4:6)
