How to Study the Bible, 5 Keys to Learning

Written by Paul Griffitts

This article was inspired by a book by E. W. Bullinger called How to Enjoyrepparttar Bible, it was written inrepparttar 126446 early 1900's and has inspired me to devote a lifetime of research torepparttar 126447 Word of God, I hope this will inspire you too.

There are a few basic elements we must state before we get in-depth on how to study God's wonderful Word. First we must know that there is only one requirement that is written inrepparttar 126448 Word pertaining to studyingrepparttar 126449 Word. We must rightly divide it.

II Tim. 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividingrepparttar 126450 word of truth.

It matters little what people have thought or saidrepparttar 126451 Bible says. There have been volumes that have listedrepparttar 126452 names and views of what people have saidrepparttar 126453 Bible says and we would learn very little if we were to study it all we would only become confused. We need only to stay inrepparttar 126454 Word and leave notrepparttar 126455 pages ofrepparttar 126456 Bible to understandrepparttar 126457 great truth that God has revealed.

Secondly we must knowrepparttar 126458 object ofrepparttar 126459 Word of God and that is to revealrepparttar 126460 Father andrepparttar 126461 Son. Third we must know whatrepparttar 126462 subject ofrepparttar 126463 Bible is; Jesus Christrepparttar 126464 promised seed of Genesis 3:15

Gen. 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee andrepparttar 126465 woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The Bible must therefore be seen and arranged with reference to Christ. The words, commandments and purposes of God are all centered in Christ. The thread from Gen 3:15 through Revelation is Christ and we must keep this first in our minds to truly know God's Word.

The literary form ofrepparttar 126466 Bible: "THE WORD OF GOD" as a whole comes to us in two separate parts: one written, originally, in Hebrew;repparttar 126467 other in Greek. Only inrepparttar 126468 Versions are these two combined, and bound together in one Book. This division, of course, is not human, thoughrepparttar 126469 names by which they are commonly known are. Up torepparttar 126470 second centuryrepparttar 126471 term "Old Covenant" was used byrepparttar 126472 Greeks to describerepparttar 126473 Hebrew Bible. This passed intorepparttar 126474 Latin Vulgate as "Vetus Testamentum," from which our English term "Old Testament" was derived. The name New Testament is a one off of that.

MY HOUSE OF PRAYER A DEN OF THIEVES

Written by Irvin L. Rozier

Jesus went torepparttar temple one day His purpose was to kneel and pray As he approachedrepparttar 126445 entrance door He saw money changers tables onrepparttar 126446 floor With righteous anger, authority and zeal He cast out all who were not humble and real Those that were only there to buy and to sell Items they thought would keep them from hell With small cords Jesus made a big whip The tables full of money he did tip His righteous anger was plain to see Against those who sold salvation for a fee Jesus cleansedrepparttar 126447 temple with force
