How to Hear from God

Written by Daniel N. Brown

We want to hear from God so that we may be led to pursuerepparttar right things. Unfortunately, there are always three voices in every ones head at any given time; God’s voice, repparttar 126563 devil’s voice, andrepparttar 126564 voice of our own flesh. So, how are we to be sure to hear from God with allrepparttar 126565 noise going on?

It really is very simple. If we want to hear from God, we need to shut uprepparttar 126566 other two. So, how do we do that?

First of all, repparttar 126567 devil is easy to shut up. Psalm 22:3 says, “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitestrepparttar 126568 praises of Israel." Satan will have to flee when we begin praising God becauserepparttar 126569 Lord inhabitsrepparttar 126570 praises of His people. The devil is not gonna stick around while you shout “Hallalujah” torepparttar 126571 Lord.

Just shout out your praise to God. Praise Him for who He is, praise Him for what He has done, praise Him for His promises, and praise Him because He deserves it. As you are praising God, you will not hear fromrepparttar 126572 devil.

Our flesh isrepparttar 126573 more difficult to control because it never can get enough and is never satisfied. It is alsorepparttar 126574 most difficult to control because it is extremely self-centered. Even still, Jesus said, ”Deny yourself and follow me.” (Mark 8:34)

Your flesh doesn’t want to follow Jesus. That would mean having to give up many things. It doesn’t matter. We are to crucifyrepparttar 126575 flesh. (Galatians 2:20) It is a decision.

When you quietrepparttar 126576 evil twins, repparttar 126577 devil and your own flesh, it is much easier to hear from God. Now, that does not mean you will hear an audible voice, although you may, but not likely.

God speaks in many different ways. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice and they follow me.” (John 10:27) Clearly, before we can know God’s voice, we must be like sheep. What are sheep? Onlyrepparttar 126578 dumbest animals onrepparttar 126579 face ofrepparttar 126580 earth. We must become like dumb animals, knowing nothing, in and of ourselves. Being completely dependant upon God. This goes back to crucifyingrepparttar 126581 flesh.

The Water of Life

Written by Joyce C. Lock

And God said, Letrepparttar waters bring forth abundantlyrepparttar 126562 moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly aboverepparttar 126563 earth inrepparttar 126564 open firmament of heaven. And to every beast ofrepparttar 126565 earth, and to every fowl ofrepparttar 126566 air, and to every thing that creepeth uponrepparttar 126567 earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

Andrepparttar 126568 Lord God formed man ofrepparttar 126569 dust ofrepparttar 126570 ground, and breathed into his nostrilsrepparttar 126571 breath of life; and man became a living soul. And they went in unto Noah intorepparttar 126572 ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein isrepparttar 126573 breath of life.

Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forgetrepparttar 126574 things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart allrepparttar 126575 days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons; that thou mightest fearrepparttar 126576 Lord thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, allrepparttar 126577 days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged. That thou mayest loverepparttar 126578 Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, andrepparttar 126579 length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell inrepparttar 126580 land whichrepparttar 126581 Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

The Spirit of God hath made me, andrepparttar 126582 breath ofrepparttar 126583 Almighty hath given me life. Thou wilt shew merepparttar 126584 path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me allrepparttar 126585 days of my life: and I will dwell inrepparttar 126586 house ofrepparttar 126587 Lord for ever.

One thing have I desired ofrepparttar 126588 Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell inrepparttar 126589 house ofrepparttar 126590 Lord allrepparttar 126591 days of my life, to beholdrepparttar 126592 beauty ofrepparttar 126593 Lord, and to enquire in his temple. For with thee isrepparttar 126594 fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

Yetrepparttar 126595 Lord will command his lovingkindness inrepparttar 126596 daytime, and inrepparttar 126597 night his song shall be with me, and my prayer untorepparttar 126598 God of my life. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoyrepparttar 126599 good of all his labour that he taketh underrepparttar 126600 sun allrepparttar 126601 days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion. For he shall not much rememberrepparttar 126602 days of his life; because God answereth him inrepparttar 126603 joy of his heart.

My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him forrepparttar 126604 fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Because strait isrepparttar 126605 gate, and narrow isrepparttar 126606 way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and inrepparttar 126607 world to come eternal life. For evenrepparttar 126608 Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

In him was life; andrepparttar 126609 life wasrepparttar 126610 light of men. For God so lovedrepparttar 126611 world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. He that believeth onrepparttar 126612 Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth notrepparttar 126613 Son shall not see life; butrepparttar 126614 wrath of God abideth on him.

But whosoever drinketh ofrepparttar 126615 water that I shall give him shall never thirst; butrepparttar 126616 water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. For asrepparttar 126617 Father hath life in himself; so hath he given torepparttar 126618 Son to have life in himself. Searchrepparttar 126619 scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Labour not forrepparttar 126620 meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, whichrepparttar 126621 Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath Godrepparttar 126622 Father sealed.

Forrepparttar 126623 bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life untorepparttar 126624 world. And Jesus said unto them, I amrepparttar 126625 bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. And this isrepparttar 126626 will of him that sent me, that every one which seethrepparttar 126627 Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up atrepparttar 126628 last day.

I am that bread of life. I amrepparttar 126629 living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: andrepparttar 126630 bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give forrepparttar 126631 life ofrepparttar 126632 world.

It isrepparttar 126633 spirit that quickeneth;repparttar 126634 flesh profiteth nothing:repparttar 126635 words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I amrepparttar 126636 good shepherd:repparttar 126637 good shepherd giveth his life forrepparttar 126638 sheep.
