How We Cured My Husband's Insomnia

Written by Danielle Papageorgiou

I want to share my husband's insomnia cure--not as something that will work for anyone, but as a possibility of what might work for some of you. I really hope it does help someone else.

My husband suffered from insomnia for about three years. On a typical night, he would go to sleep at a normal time, but feel completely unrestedrepparttar next morning. On other nights, he would not be able to get to sleep untilrepparttar 114876 early hours ofrepparttar 114877 morning.

Being very health conscious people, we searched and searched forrepparttar 114878 answer to why he was not sleeping. We did not want to resort to sleeping pills and felt that there had to be a reason why. We finally seem to have foundrepparttar 114879 elusive answer.

Basically, I did allrepparttar 114880 searching to find out what was wrong with him. He was just doing his best to survive, so I considered it my labor of love! Recently, I came torepparttar 114881 conclusion that he is suffering from leaky gut, which can cause a host of illnesses and diseases, including allergies, chemical sensitivities, and insomnia, which he had.

Leaky gut is a condition in which your intestinal wall has become too porous. This means you cannot absorb nutrients from your food effectively and large pieces of food travel into your bloodstream, causing all kinds of problems. Different bodies handle this situation differently, but it will result in autoimmune reactions or diseases (celiac disease, MS, chemical sensitivities, allergies, etc.).

The solution to this condition is to basically eat a lot more fresh fruits and vegetables sorepparttar 114882 intestines can heal. We realized that our diet had become unbalanced and did not include nearly enough fresh produce. So, we have now started a mainly raw diet for a while. We figured it couldn't hurt, since a healthy diet, in my opinion, should be about 75% fresh fruits and vegetables anyway. We have also been juicing carrots and apples every night before bedtime for over a week now. This, I believe, has maderepparttar 114883 biggest difference! Since doing this, he has not had a single bad night and his mood has drastically improved.

Howrepparttar Boy Scout motto can help you lose weight.

Be Prepared. Forrepparttar 114875 Boy Scouts it means you are always ready in body and mind to do your duty. How can you use this motto to help you in your weight loss efforts?

I am ofrepparttar 114876 school of thought that starvation is notrepparttar 114877 way to lose weight and lead a healthy lifestyle. My thinking has always been to makerepparttar 114878 right choices inrepparttar 114879 foods we eat. For many people, it is not overeating that is their enemy-it isrepparttar 114880 wrong choices. This article is assuming you knowrepparttar 114881 difference between good food choices and bad. There are many articles that can be found on making proper food choices.

For example; have you ever been trying to diet and found yourself out around town running errands and then suddenly so hungry you could not hardly stand it? Or have you ever been at work and your workmates want to go torepparttar 114882 local Mexican restaurant and you did not pack your lunch that day? Normally what happens is you swing intorepparttar 114883 local fast food joint or go with your coworkers torepparttar 114884 restaurant and end up making bad choices. How can this be prevented? Answer: Be prepared.

The above “bad choice” scenarios could have been avoided by being prepared. The first could have been prevented by carrying a meal replacement bar or shake in your vehicle with you. This could have curbed your hunger until you were home and in a position to prepare a nutritious snack or meal. The second could have been avoided by having a nutritious lunch packed and ready to eat at lunch time. You could have even carried it torepparttar 114885 restaurant and enjoyedrepparttar 114886 company of your coworkers.

The number one enemy of being prepared is time. “I don’t have time to pack my lunch inrepparttar 114887 evening!” or “I don’t have time to cook inrepparttar 114888 evening!” I have good news and bad news. If you are going to be prepared – it is going to take time. The good news is that it does not have to be as time consuming as you may think.
