Today’s is recognition of Mothers Day and let us remind ourselves that nothing can be more strengthening than a mothers love for their children. And no more so than Mary’s love for her son Jesus. I often wonder what was Mary thinking when she watched her son being crucified that day upon
cross? Was she thinking of
times Jesus was a child and his feelings were hurt each time they move from city to city? What about
time when one of Jesus’ closest friends betrayed him and he had to walk away from
relationship she was there also with a hug of support? Or maybe she was thinking of
time when Jesus couldn’t understand why death had to come in life? Each time she was there to offer him strength of a shoulder,
love of an unconditional heart and a word of comfort.
