Many people enter into
affiliate marketing arena with
hopes of making some quick money whilst doing
bare minimum amount work and preparation. They expect to be making
type of money super affiliates make within five minutes of joining an affiliate program without doing anything other than send out a few ezine ads.
How do I know?
Because I was there, I did exactly
same thing, it was what
affiliate program owner’s instructions said to do; sign-up, send some of our pre-made ads out to a few ezines and newsletters and wait for
money to come in. Oh and send them straight to this affiliate link so you’ll be credited with
sale.
Ok, yeah, I did make a few sales, but only just enough to break even. It wasn’t
sort of income they promised, so I thought to myself, ‘well there must be other affiliate programs out there that’ll make me more money’, so I moved on to another one, and guess what,
cycle repeated.
Does this sound familiar to you? It’s sometimes referred to as
30 day average affiliate life span.
When you sign-up for an affiliate program don’t they just make it sound so easy?
Well here’s
truth it’s not easy if you don’t know what you’re doing! But if you do, you can make
big super affiliate type income that only a small minority of affiliates are making. But it does require, time effort and persistence!
Now ask yourself these three questions,
-Do you have your own website? -Do you have a newsletter? -Do you send prospects directly from your advertising to your affiliate webpage?
If you don’t have either of
first two you stand very little chance of making big commissions through affiliate programs. Sorry but it’s true.
The top selling affiliates all have a few things in common; they all have their own websites and newsletters and they also never send prospects directly from their advertising straight to their affiliate webpage.
