Holy Terror

Perhaps inspired by their recent success in influencingrepparttar outcome ofrepparttar 126612 American Presidential elections, repparttar 126613 Catholic Church have looked Northward. Looking past an unjust war against non-tithing members ofrepparttar 126614 World Community, repparttar 126615 Catholic Church helped King George II get enough votes based on hisrepparttar 126616 fact that his visions were more in line with that ofrepparttar 126617 Pope's and his handlers in regards to same-sex marriage, and other long-standing bigotry still accepted in this millennium. Hearing thatrepparttar 126618 Canadian governing party is now open to passing a Bill that would legalize same-sex marriage, repparttar 126619 Church has begun to gatherrepparttar 126620 mob and lightrepparttar 126621 torches to go against anyone who would oppose their version ofrepparttar 126622 sanctity of marriage. Paul Martin, Canada's Prime Minister, has already started doingrepparttar 126623 political backslide in divertingrepparttar 126624 ownership of this issue from his Party torepparttar 126625 People, saying that he wants to set up a National Poll onrepparttar 126626 issue.

Imagine a Poll done in 1905, or 1965 asking of Black Americans should be givenrepparttar 126627 same rights as White Americans. This is not a debate of which is better, "Tastes Great or Less Filling?" this is about Human Rights;repparttar 126628 right of a person not to fall subject torepparttar 126629 opinions and values of his neighbors, repparttar 126630 right of a person to live according to their own values as long as it does not inflict harm against someone else. The Americans never asked ofrepparttar 126631 Iraqi people wanted to be free of Saddam. Gay North Americans don't need to askrepparttar 126632 Pope forrepparttar 126633 right to be grantedrepparttar 126634 same privileges as their heterosexual brothers and sisters.

Canadians should be wary of howrepparttar 126635 Catholic Church will approach this issue should it gain momentum. They haverepparttar 126636 backing of King George II and a history of obedience from Canadians to American interests. The best thing you can do is to write to your political representative and voice your support of same-sex marriage. Not gay? Who cares! Jesus didn't. Make no mistake about it. When Jesus confronted people who tried to impose their traditional religious values and punish a woman for her adulteress ways, Jesus stood up for her and said, "Let he who is without sin castrepparttar 126637 first stone". So, how can we as a people follow a religious organization that would denyrepparttar 126638 rights of 2 people that want to commit together, yet not protectrepparttar 126639 rights of children abused by members of their own organization. The Pope has nothing to say when it comes to men ofrepparttar 126640 cloth imposing their manhood on children who look up to them, but seeks to deny love. Jesus' greatest gift to us was love. He died for love and to open forgiveness for all, yetrepparttar 126641 Popes throughout history have made others die from lack of it.

Can You Live The Christ Life?

Written by Caleb Osborne

Were you lied to as newborn Christian? I was...let me explain.

You are a Christian, right? So, Can you liverepparttar Christ life? Well I guess I want

to get a little more involved than that. I want to ask you if you can liverepparttar 126611

Christ life by your own effort!

If you're like me, you were probably brought up in a Church whererepparttar 126612 pastor told

you every Sunday how you were supposed to act. He probably told you that you needed

to do such and such in order to be a "good Christian".

And what if that stuff was hard to do? If you had a problem with a certain sin,

what wasrepparttar 126613 advice that you received. How was it recommended that you go aboutrepparttar 126614

subject of "livingrepparttar 126615 Christian life"? If your early Christian education was like

mine you were lied to!

The way to success I was told was through willpower. Grittin'repparttar 126616 teeth and whatnot

and just to "buckle down and do something for God". No matter how uncomfortable it

may of seemed.

And uncomfortable it was! Are you still with me? I'm sure I'm notrepparttar 126617 only one that

foundrepparttar 126618 burdens of Christianity hard to live with. What could be heavier thanrepparttar 126619

burden of a God that was displeased with your level of performance? Nothing comes

to mind for me. Why then doesrepparttar 126620 Bible say this in Matthew 11:29-31:

"Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and

you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

And I'd bet dollars to donuts that I'm notrepparttar 126621 only one that found myself failing

more than I was succeeding-am I right? Sure you might get nice and fired up about

being a good Christian once or twice but then you'd fail andrepparttar 126622 "failure,

condemnation, rededication Cycle" would set in (to quote a phrase coined by Dr.

Steve McVey). Afterrepparttar 126623 failure, I'd feel condemned that I had failed God. After

that period of self pity and general feeling of patheticness (Is that even a
