Holistic Aromatherapy for Cats

Written by Francoise Rapp

Most any cat owner will tell you their feline friends are capable of conveying emotion. In fact, they may even say they can recognize and distinguish specific emotions their cats display, including love, anger, illness, annoyance and more.

Scientific experiments on both humans and animals indicate that emotional responses are triggered by physical stimuli. Considering that cats have sensory systems that are much more sensitive thanrepparttar human senses of sight, smell, sound, taste and touch, there's no question that our pets' environments are so closely linked to their states of mind.

Unlike humans, cats do not haverepparttar 115798 conscious ability to integrate, process and grow from their emotional experiences. Instead, cats will react, take in and indicate their emotions, but are not able to process their imbalances like we can.

This explains why a healthy emotional environment is vital for cats, as well as for all animals. A healthy cat must be afforded enough space, love, and attention if he is to thrive. But foremost, and frequently overlooked, is a peaceful home environment. Cats are extremely sensitive to stress, and living in a home with arguments, negative energies or tension will affect his emotional well-being and health.

Today I will share aromatherapy recipes to treat common emotional issues your cat may be facing, including stress, loneliness, grief and separation anxiety/abandonment.

***IMPORTANT!*** Animals respond very well to flower essences and essential oils. They are very gentle and safe methods of treating emotional imbalances or stress-related symptoms. Escaping a Toxic Environment

Written by Myrtis Smith

By definition, a toxin is a poisonous substance that kills, injures, or impairs an organism. A toxin can also inhibitrepparttar activity of another substance. Applying this definition to your day-to-day living, it may surprise you to realize how many things (and people) in your life are creating a toxic environment.

What are potential toxins in your daily living? Toxins can be people that make you feel bad, things that are holding you back from your goals, or situations that make you physically ill. A toxin can be a behavior, a person, or an object. But anything that "impairs" you or "inhibits activity" is toxic.

Let’s look at an example. Suppose you wanted to get a better job. The current job you have doesn't pay enough, is very stressful, and is not a good fit for your personality. The career you would like to pursue requires a degree (which you don't have) and relies heavily on networking to secure a position. In this example there are several toxins at play. Two obvious ones are your current job environment (the stress is injuring you) and your lack of a degree (this is inhibiting your activity). Other toxins could be your current spending habits (mayberepparttar 115797 problem isn't how much your job pays, butrepparttar 115798 fact that you are not living within your means), your relationships (are you gettingrepparttar 115799 support from your family and friends to make this transition), and your own attitude.

So how do you eliminate toxins from your life?

1. Identify them. It is hard to fight an opponent that you can't see. Think ofrepparttar 115800 areas in your life where things aren't quite how you would like for them to be. What is holding you back? These things are potential toxins.
