Have FaithWritten by Daniel N. Brown
Are you believing God for something and see no evidence of anything taking place? It can be frustrating. Especially when you feel like you are in great need for God to act NOW!I used to wonder what God was doing when I needed Him most. I certainly didn’t see Him doing what I thought He should be doing. But, you know, we are to live by faith, not by sight. How many Christian people do you know who are bearing no fruit? Jesus said, "Abide in me, and I in you. As branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. (John 15:4)The meaning of word “abide,” means “to live” or “to dwell.” So, to abide in Christ, means to live in Christ together as one person. Jesus Christ and Word of God are one in same (John 1:14). So, if we will abide in Christ, we will abide in Word. If we will abide in Word, Word will instruct us and teach us in way we should go (Psalm 32:8). He will also guide us to pray according to His will and our prayers will have a guaranteed effect. I love scripture that says, “Ask Father anything in My name and He will give it to you.” (John 16:23) Although this scripture is an encouraging promise, it is not a license to treat God as some cosmic bell-boy who should come and cater to our every whim. James 4:3 says, “You ask and do not receive because you ask amiss, that you may consume it upon your own lusts.”
