Given MuchWritten by Joyce C. Lock
When you read scripture, "For unto whomsoever much is given, of him, much shall be required," Lu. 12:48, do you think of a pastor who walks and talks with God or a professor, abounding in knowledge? Maybe, you think of a gospel singer, whose voice surely must be likened unto an angel, or a musician, whose hands touch heart of God. Perhaps, someone, in prominent places, comes to mind; positions of prosperity, power, and such. But, did you count those saved from near death, those whose homes have been restored, those who've received miracle of healing, or those saved from financial ruin? Did you count those with food on their table, a roof over their head, someone to love, and a pillow for their bed? Did you count those born, in this day and time, in a country where we still have freedoms; to consider privilege of education and worship, to work and provide for your own, to have privacy and ownership?

It is a most Heavenly sight to behold someone flowing through a room, with grace likened unto an angel, spreading SON LIGHT on each heart they touch. Even more wonderful is when we realize gift of encouragement is available to us! Paul says we are to take it upon ourselves to minister to saints (II Co. 8:4), not waiting for someone to hit us over head. We can walk into any room, using Eyes of Lord, 'knowing' which hearts need touched; being assured that we did not just think it up because we looked first. If God shows you a need, He is calling you to do something about it (De. 30:14). Further assurance comes in knowing Satan would not ask you to do something good (Ps. 37:3). Once you have seen need, follow Jesus by taking first step (Mt. 4:20). He will do rest (I Th. 5:24). It is okay if your first words are nothing more than, "I like your tie." Meeting us where we are; walk of righteousness is one step at a time. Nothing is too small if God says, "Go", because little is always much if done for Lord (II Co. 9:10).
