Gas Pump FeverWritten by Vijay Gibson
Recalling gas crisis twenty years ago, a songster has created a song timely for today: Cyril May’s release "Gas Pump Fever" goes miles toward cheering us through high prices and long lines: "Gas pump fever in gas pump line This is gas pump fever time. And it doesn’t have a vaccination for your behind It’s mighty catching and its pure hell As pain in your wallet will plainly tell. You got gas pump fever from waiting in gas pump line"
A down to earth singer, and songwriter, Cyril May and his musical cohort Jack McDonald make a timely statement with "Gas Pump Fever", creating lyrics we sing along to, and Jack’s lilting musical arrangements providing cheerful flavor.
Mendacino Madness MillionaireWritten by VJ Gibson
We all want to be a millionaire and Cyril May has created a song that is called "Mendicino Madness Millionaire ". The song tells story of a California man who inherited a farm and planted marijuana: "I could hardly wait ‘til I opened gate
turned cows loose on their own
And I planted marijuana
in that rich red virgin loam"
In days when there seems to be a huge controversy over legalization of "pot", we can take a humorous look at fact that millions of Americans are "still smokin", and why its so tempting to grow marijuana. The song goes on to tell how guy tries it out to make sure its good and then proceeds to rake in cash. He tells of his fancy car "with gold marijuana leaves on doors" and luxury homes. Wallowing in windfall of tax-free money, he discovers:
"Growin’ grass for people sure beats growing grass for cows."
