Find Time For Home Biz Success by Taming the Great Life StealersWritten by Doug West
We often hear from ones who say that they just don't have enough time to devote to their home business. They work full time, raise kids, take care of aging parents, or for other reasons are just too busy to devote much time to a biz. Still, they would like a home business if they could only find time. In this article we want to review some common areas where most folks tend to waste time, and how you can tame these life stealers.# 1 TV Viewing This ranks as greatest time stealer of all! "Wait a minute" you might say, "don't tell me to give up my favorite TV programs!" No, we are not going to tell you to quit watching TV altogether. However, with just a little effort you can save TONS of time that could otherwise be spent on your home biz. Consider some ideas: * Record Your Favorite Programs and Fast-Forward Through Commercials. This could trim off a third or more of time it takes to watch them. * Control TV - Don't let it Control You. Instead of vegetating in front of TV for hours, watching everything that comes on, try picking only programs you really want to see and setting recorder. Sometimes it may be good to just chill out in your easy chair and turn on tube, but once you get into habit of recording shows, you may find more recordings to view than you have time for. The more productive time you spend on your home business will start to become a habit (so will extra money that you earn from it!), you will spend less time with TV naturally, and find that you have more energy too! # 2 Recreation Here is another big time stealer. Everyone needs some recreation, but most of us think we need more than we really do. Consider that most folks work all week just for a few moments of fun on weekend. Back when I was working a J.O.B. factory was full of ones like this. They lived their lives for fun in sun. Never planning for anything but more recreation. When flag ship factory closed it's doors and laid most of us off, these same ones wanted to know how they would afford their boat payments, golf cart notes, vacation bills etc. Many had mortgaged themselves to hilt with recreation bills. I was smiling because I knew we would get a nice severance package, and that I could now focus full time on my home biz that I always had worked on side (I have toys too, and enjoy fun in sun, but I pay cash for those things or I don't buy them - no credit for me on recreation - no sir!). I had turned down a few weekends of pleasure seeking over years, but when whip came down, I'm sure glad I did! I work harder for myself than I ever did for someone else, but I control when I work, and how much I want to make. Since I love what I do, it really is not like work. I still limit myself on recreation, but when we do play, we really play well!
| | 3 Positive Steps for Destroying Fear, Building Confidence & Big Profits!Written by Doug West
Many would-be entrepreneurs never get ahead with their biz plans or ideas because of big Fear Factor! They'd really like to make some project click, but too many negative thoughts and ideas hold them back. They worry about failure, legal problems, family opposition, rejection and a myriad of other possibilities. Here we will outline 3 things you can do now to destroy fear and move on confidently toward success!1) Take Action! Action actually cures fear. Once you get in middle of a project, you mind will start looking for ways to make your plan work. Inaction, or doing nothing is fear's workshop. Not doing anything will destroy your confidence and those negative thoughts will dominate. If a net biz is in your plans, take time to learn some new things. You don't have to be an expert on tech issues (experts are a dime a dozen and you can hire as many as you need), but it does help to know something about it. A little understanding on your part can relieve a LOT of stress and doubt. Take time to do your homework. 2) Focus On The Positives! We live in a negative world, so don't beat yourself up too bad if you have fallen into grove of doubtful thinking. The good news is that you can get out of that rut! When it comes to your biz plan, focus on reasons why it can work instead of why it won't. Whatever you focus on, that is what you will come up with. It's funny how mind works. Since our business is teaching folks how to earn online income, we did an exercise where we asked individuals if it would be possible to take a homeless person from street and teach them how to make money online. The results of our research are interesting! The ones who were less successful said that it would not be possible, that person would not even have a PC to work with, or an address to mail his checks to. They could think of every negative reason in world why our experiment with a homeless person would not work. On other hand, more successful folks (who have earned income online) started to tell us all reasons why it could work. We could take street person to library and teach them how to get online. They could set up a Pay Pal account and have commissions deposited there. We could help them set up a P.O. Box to get mail. These were some of same ideas that less successful folks came up with when we asked them "Well just imagine for a moment that it could be done, how would you do it?" Then positive answers came! So get your mind reasoning on all ways something will work, and it will come up with many ideas for you. If you focus on negatives, it will paint a picture for you full of reasons why your plan or biz won't work! Try it yourself. Have some fun with it. Then focus on positives for rest of your life!
