If you tuned in here today, there is a pretty good chance that you are looking for ideas to help you with your internet marketing. Well, I have good news and bad news.

I always like to get bad news out of way first so here goes. The article that you are about to read pertains to life in general and is not targeted towards internet marketing. Those that have been with me for a while are probably not too surprised. I like to write and fortunately for me, this is my ezine, so I can write about anything I choose.

I live in a cabin in mountains of Washington. I live within a couple of miles of United States-Canadian border. If I stepped out my door and yelled as loud as I could, I would be heard only by animals.

The peace that surrounds me is continuously nurtured by amazing things I get to see and do. A couple of nights ago, there was a couple of Whitetail Deer, a Doe and a Fawn, standing in a field in front of my house. I took my camera and went out to take a few pictures.

I started walking slowly towards field. There is an old wooden fence that surrounds field. After spending ten or fifteen minutes inching closer, I reached fence. At this point, Doe was about fifty feet away and Fawn was off playing another fifty feet or so past mom.

A couple of minutes after I reached fence, mom got a whiff of me and started stomping her feet and making huffing noises at me. She knew something was there but she wasn't sure what. She kept stomping and moving closer to me. She moved within about twenty feet of me and started bluffing as if she was going to charge me.

Where does traffic come from?

The suspense is killing you so we will let you have it. The Majority by far, uncontested, and definitely most productive for our marketing efforts is Directories that specialize in our field or occupation. Without fail these directories pull over 90% of traffic to our website. We found that when doing a search on many of search engines, search engine does not pull our site up directly or first, but site of directory comes up with a link to our listing on that directory, and then from directory a direct link to our web site. The directories we have listed (free) with are at top of search engines already and with specialization in field, draws most qualified or interested parties to directory.

Listing to correct directory is very important

Listing to correct directory in proper category, in search engines or directories is of utmost importance. For example, listing your Propecia site (treatment for balding men) in any kind of Women's directory or category would be a waste of effort and draw little or no traffic. On other hand, listing in Men's directories or anything that audience is a majority of men, at least with Propecia product, should draw a significant amount of traffic to those interested in that product.
