Ofrepparttar many questions you ask yourself every day, one question is by far more important than all ofrepparttar 122698 rest put together. It is a powerful question that will bring clarity, motivation and purpose to your whole existence.

The question is simply this: “What do I want from life?” Providing a clear, precise answer brings total focus to our lives. But very few people can.

Why?

OK, I meet many people through my professional and social lives and what amazes me is that very few of them can answer this question. Most of them answer in abstract terms, such as:

 “I want money. Lots of money.”  “I want to be happy.”  “I want a beautiful house.”  “I want a sports car.”  “I just want to meet someone, fall in love and settle down.”  “I DON’T REALLY KNOW.”

Amazingly, repparttar 122699 last one isrepparttar 122700 most common. Andrepparttar 122701 problem with all ofrepparttar 122702 above answers is that they aren’t really answers at all. Because none of them give a specific, precise answer.

Just why do so few people know precisely what they want from life? There are a number of reasons, here’s just 3 ofrepparttar 122703 more common:

Number one on our list is FEAR. To know precisely what you want out of life means you have to go and get it. You have to take action, make changes and work hard to manifest your desires into reality. You can’t hide behind abstracts any longer. This stark truth andrepparttar 122704 changes needed can be frightening. But you must seerepparttar 122705 whole process of getting what you want as enjoyable and rewarding and not as a threat. Next on our list is HARD WORK. Identifying exactly what you want from life requires quite a bit of effort. And of course, if you want to achieve your goals, you have to work hard by investing time and toil every day. Many people simply aren’t prepared to put in a significant effort to get what they want. Are you?

Got Purpose? – Part 2

I guess I found some hot buttons last week eh? Thanks for a week full of real good feedback.

That beingrepparttar case I’d like to follow along with last weeks theme of Living your purpose. Getting into one ofrepparttar 122697 key elements to doing just that.

Living with Courage.

I believe living a life of Purpose begins and ends with Courage. It takes courage to open up and face your truth, to be honest with yourself.

Clearly, there are many hindrances and roadblocks alongrepparttar 122698 path of purposeful living. In my own liferepparttar 122699 biggest has been fear. The fear of showing vulnerability. The fear of being judged. The fear of rejection, fear of failure, fear of being alone, fear ofrepparttar 122700 unknown and uncertainty. There was fear everywhere I turned. Until one day I just got sick and tired of living in fear.

In a conversation about some ofrepparttar 122701 worlds great revolutions with a friend who grew up in Russiarepparttar 122702 point was made that one ofrepparttar 122703 conclusions an oppressed people must come to is they "just can’t live this way anymore." This isrepparttar 122704 point at whichrepparttar 122705 pain of being oppressed becomes greater thanrepparttar 122706 pain of facingrepparttar 122707 fear. Fear is an oppressive bully and thief. The way to conquer it is to face up to it with confidence and courage. The feeling comes over you that something has got to change and it has to change now! Perhaps you’ve known this feeling.

I have come torepparttar 122708 conclusion (and of course you must arrive at your own) that no one, no situation, no experience, is going to deter me from livingrepparttar 122709 rest of my life on what I believe isrepparttar 122710 course of my PURPOSE. Eventually, one way or another I will die. But, inrepparttar 122711 process of living, I amrepparttar 122712 one responsible for identifying, connecting to and living my own purposeful life. To live any other way would be to not live fully.
