Dreams come true with the help of global consciousness on the Internet.Written by Jesse S. Somer
Dreams. There are two types of dreams: 1. When you are sleeping there are stories unfolding in your mind from a parallel dimension. 2. The aims one has in life. The latter is type of dream I wish to discuss. We all have these dreams, don’t we? We picture ourselves in future having realized our talents, having achieved in areas that interest us most. Your dream may have been a relatively simple one, like reaching enlightenment, or helping to create world peace! Maybe your dream was just to set foot on as many beaches across planet as possible, a little selfish-but hey, you’re still sharing a smile everywhere you go. In this Information Age, our dreams have become more realistic and practical to attain. With Internet and web sites in particular, a global consciousness is forming to help all people towards their goals.Lets say you’re a young lady who lives in a small town in who-knows-where-land. Your dream is to one day live in a forest as a ranger, taking care of trees and animals, living at one with nature. The Internet seems far removed from this reality but in truth it can be a main section of road to your destination. By looking at web sites you can find out what other people with similar interests think about subject. You can find out where you’ll need to go to study, what interest groups to join, and get opposing opinions on pros and cons of a ranger’s life. You can communicate with experts from other side of world just as if they were next door. Seven days a week, night or day, you can access information and ideas from a wide community, a community you now belong to. All it took to start towards realizing dream was simply by adding your identity to new world culture created by millions of other normal minds. These are people who want to further humanity through process of communication.
| | Gettign a Blog on the InternetWritten by Jesse S. Somer
The fearful, ignorant guy has got a blog on Internet. It must be easy!Of all people in world I was easily one of most pessimistic about computers, Internet and now that I even know they exist-blogs. I think blogs are pretty cool but I never thought I could have one. I thought processes of getting a site; domain name and actual building of blog would just be out of my league. I’m a complete novice when it comes to technology, but I do like writing a journal, and I thought having a journal on-line would be both fun and make life simpler for me. No more writing with pens, other people can read my stuff and comment on it, and I could add pictures to illustrate my points and make things look more interesting. Well, now I’ve got one! It’s awesome. I won’t lie and say it was easy, but I think if you hook up with a good web hosting company it’s not such a daunting experience as you might expect. I got a few work mates to help me. I went through a couple administrative hitches when filling in my personal information forms for registration-just because I’m a bit silly in head. We had a little trouble with blog program we used, but these challenges were eventually overcome. My boss says he’s going to make a simple program that people can hook up easily.
