Do You Hear What I Hear?Written by Joyce C. Lock
And Moses spake before Lord, saying, Behold, children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips? And thou shalt say unto him, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; And I charge your judges, saying, Hear causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and stranger that is with him. Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear small as well as great; ye shall not be afraid of face of man; for judgment is God's: and cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it. And all people shall hear, and fear, and do no more presumptuously. Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest hearts of all children of men). And he said, Hear thou therefore word of LORD: I saw LORD sitting on his throne, and all host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom. Again he said, Therefore hear word of LORD; I saw Lord sitting upon his throne, and all host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left. I will shew thee, hear me; and that which I have seen I will declare; Hear attentively noise of his voice, and sound that goeth out of his mouth. I will hear what God LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of wicked that rise up against me. He that planted ear, shall he not hear? he that formed eye, shall he not see? All kings of earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear words of thy mouth. When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet. (Keep thy foot when thou goest to house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.) Let us hear conclusion of whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is whole duty of man. And in that day shall deaf hear words of book, and eyes of blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness. And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to right hand, and when ye turn to left. And eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and ears of them that hear shall hearken. When poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I LORD will hear them, I God of Israel will not forsake them. Let all nations be gathered together, and let people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith LORD, I will hear heavens, and they shall hear earth; And earth shall hear corn, and wine, and oil; and they shall hear Jezreel. Hear word of LORD, ye children of Israel: for LORD hath a controversy with inhabitants of land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in land. Thus saith LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by mouth of prophets, which were in day that foundation of house of Lord of hosts was laid, that temple might be built. And I will strengthen house of Judah, and I will save house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am LORD their God, and will hear them. And I will bring third part through fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
| | Getting ReadyWritten by Joyce C. Lock
And Abraham hastened into tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon hearth. And when Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to ruler of his house, Bring these men home, and slay, and make ready; for these men shall dine with me at noon. And they made ready present against Joseph came at noon: for they heard that they should eat bread there. And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while. And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him. And be ready against third day: for third day Lord will come down in sight of all people upon mount Sinai. And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of flour: flesh he put in a basket, and he put broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under oak, and presented it. And Manoah said unto angel of Lord, I pray thee, let us detain thee, until we shall have made ready a kid for thee. And king's servants said unto king, Behold, thy servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord king shall appoint. And house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in house, while it was in building. And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in portion of Naboth Jezreelite. And afterward they made ready for themselves, and for priests: because priests sons of Aaron were busied in offering of burnt offerings and fat until night; therefore Levites prepared for themselves, and for priests sons of Aaron. This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in law of Moses, which Lord God of Israel had given: and king granted him all his request, according to hand of Lord his God upon him. The copy of writing for a commandment to be given in every province was published unto all people, that they should be ready against that day.
