Discover Who You are and Why You are Here.

You are a Creative Worker:

God carries on creative work through human beings. Human beings serve as instrument of transformation of thoughts and ideas fromrepparttar spiritual state torepparttar 126641 physical state. Our mind which is an aspect ofrepparttar 126642 brain mechanism is a creative device which enables us to relate to spiritual as well as physical existence.

Our role inrepparttar 126643 creative process involves receiving thoughts and ideas which emanate from God into our mind. By means of our mental and physical powers we are able to transform these thoughts and ideas into physical reality. Sorepparttar 126644 human being receives fromrepparttar 126645 spiritual and transforms intorepparttar 126646 physical. Our function inrepparttar 126647 creative process can be likened torepparttar 126648 function of a television set. The pictures we see onrepparttar 126649 screen do not originate fromrepparttar 126650 television set. The television set receives signals that are transmitted from a television station and then transforms these signals into observable pictures onrepparttar 126651 television screen. Inrepparttar 126652 case ofrepparttar 126653 creative process, thinking enables us to tune in to and receive thoughts, ideas and concepts from God. These thoughts, ideas and concepts we are then able to transform into physical (objective) reality by means of our mental and physical powers. To illustrate this process let us consider how a building comes into existence. By thinking, an architect receives ideas and concepts ofrepparttar 126654 design of a building in his mind. By means of his mental and physical abilities he transfers his mental pictures ofrepparttar 126655 design of this building to drawing on paper. A builder, by interpreting this drawing, is able to constructrepparttar 126656 building thereby bringing it into existence. And so what has come from God as thoughts has eventually become a physical reality.

Evidently, repparttar 126657 human being is a co-worker with God inrepparttar 126658 creative process.

Your Gift of Creative Ability:

Human beings are endowed with creative ability. We haverepparttar 126659 capacity to do things requiring intelligence. Our creative ability is inrepparttar 126660 form of mental and physical powers. Since our physical abilities are obvious, I shall focus attention on human mental powers. Observation of human beings reveals that human mind exhibits certain capabilities. These are:

Drive:

This isrepparttar 126661 mental power by which a person presses forward or pushes on with a task. It isrepparttar 126662 capacity ofrepparttar 126663 mind to sustain effort and get things done.

Power of Self Control:

This isrepparttar 126664 mental power by which a person can direct his thoughts and actions and exercise control over his feelings and impulses.

Power of Feeling:

This isrepparttar 126665 power ofrepparttar 126666 mind by which a person is able to perceive, experience or become conscious of physical and spiritual phenomena through feeling.

Intelligence:

This isrepparttar 126667 mental power we have of perceiving, learning, understanding and knowing.

There are three aspects to human intelligence and these are:

Intellect: This isrepparttar 126668 power ofrepparttar 126669 mind to reason.

Memory: This isrepparttar 126670 power of keeping facts inrepparttar 126671 conscious mind and being able to call them back at will.

Knowledge: The actual knowledge a person has is an aspect of his intelligence.

All these mental powers are present in every normal human being. These mental powers working together determine a person's mental qualities and characteristics. Our mental powers together with our physical abilities constitute our creative ability.

The extent, degree or level to which human beings are gifted with each of these different mental powers varies from individual to individual. No two individuals match each other inrepparttar 126672 extent of endowment of every one of these mental powers. By this I mean that no two individuals haverepparttar 126673 same measure of drive, repparttar 126674 same degree of self-control andrepparttar 126675 same depth and strength of power of feeling as well as haverepparttar 126676 same measure of intellect, repparttar 126677 same strength of memory andrepparttar 126678 same amount of knowledge. However, people may be classed in broad groupings of level of endowment of particular mental powers. For example, depending onrepparttar 126679 extent to which a person is gifted intellectually, such a person may be described in any one ofrepparttar 126680 following ways: as having low intellectual ability, as having average intellectual ability, as having high intellectual ability or as having exceptional intellectual ability.

Because human beings are endowed withrepparttar 126681 different mental powers to different levels, degrees or extent, you find that each human being has distinct mental qualities and characteristics. Each individual has his or her special way of thinking and doing things. This explains why human beings think and behave differently from one another. The fact that human beings are mentally different explains why people have different interests and talents and so take to different vocations, occupations or professions. It also accounts forrepparttar 126682 fact that people occupy different positions in life. Our physical abilities also play a part in determining our choice of occupation or career and contribute to determining our place in life.

Are you where God is

“Am I Where God Is?”

Where He leads me, I will follow—or so goesrepparttar old hymn. Now, if I can only find Him…

Saint Augustine of Hippo found true liberty in 386 AD. Listen to his words, “How sweet all at once it was for me to be rid of those fruitless joys which I had once feared to lose!... You drove them from me, you who arerepparttar 126640 true, repparttar 126641 sovereign joy. You drove them from me and took their place, you who are sweeter than all pleasures.” The “place” that Augustine once reserved for immorality and debauchery was invaded by God who then filled that empty place with His great joy and sweet pleasures. Augustine found God and followed Him. He could truly say, after his conversion and throughoutrepparttar 126642 rest of his life: I am where God is.

Blaise Pascal once said, “All men seek happiness. This is without exception. Whatever different means they employ, they all tend to this end… The will never takesrepparttar 126643 least step but to this object. This isrepparttar 126644 motive of every action of every man, even of those who hang themselves.” Blaise Pascal is not very well known in church circles because he was a mathematician who invented, among other things, repparttar 126645 calculator— hundreds of years before electricity ran through wires. He is very well known, however, among Bible students because ofrepparttar 126646 term: “Pascal’s Wager.” No time to explain that here, but there is time to consider Pascal’s statement. He believed that all men were motivated byrepparttar 126647 need for pleasure. If suicide could end their misery and bring them relief, then suicide it was. That sounds odd, but I think it is true. People seek things, even various religions, because they think they will bring them happiness. But, “things” in this world, even religious devotion, can not give man true pleasure or happiness. That’s right. Only God can give man fulfillment. Allow me to continue, please.

I don’t consider true Christianity a religion but a relationship withrepparttar 126648 person, Jesus Christ. Religions are many and are basically any attempt by man to make himself right with God on his own terms. Onrepparttar 126649 other hand, Christianity says that it is impossible for a man to make himself righteous (right standing) before God. The Bible concurs and says that any attempt by man to stand right before God without a mediator is futile. The Bible declares that self-made righteousness is not unlike “filthy rags.” Any religion that promises happiness through acts of humility, good deeds and morality may sound genuine, but inrepparttar 126650 end it is discovered for what it is—nothing more than man’s attempt to earn his way to heaven. Religion apart from God is not “true religion.” Man’s need for lasting peace will never be met by religious works (life style).
