Creating a Dream Team for Your Business Success

Written by Myrtis Smith

"No man is an island. No man stands alone."

One lesson many business people learn very early on is that you can't make it on your own. You don't haverepparttar knowledge orrepparttar 106380 time to do everything that needs to be done in your business or to meet all of your customer's needs. You can compensate for that by building relationships with people who can provide you withrepparttar 106381 skills and services you need and a place for you to refer your clients. So, for example, even if you can't do your clients taxes, you can refer them to a good CPA.

In coaching we call this exercise of identifying other people who can be resources for your business "creating a Team 100 list." It's a very simple process; select 100 other professionals you want to do business with and you would like to be able to refer your clients to. This is your Dream Team. Start building relationships with these people.

When creating your Dream Team, take a holistic approach. Include individuals from many different professions to cover every facet of your life.

1. Business Relationships. Running a business or managing your career is a lot easier when you have a strong support team. This includes a coach, writer, computer consultant, graphic design artist, etc.

2. Professional advice. The best advice does not come from your mother, best friend, or co-workers. It comes from trained professionals who specialize. This includes an attorney, realtor, banker, insurance agent, etc.

3. Mind, body and soul. It is also important to have resources for your personal needs as well as your business needs. These include doctors (especially specialists), massage therapist, chiropractor, therapist, etc.

Why the Internet is an Entrepreneurs' Dream

Written by Marty Foley

Not long ago, a vacation that entailed travelling across much ofrepparttar U.S. helped me reflect a bit about my Internet business, and reminded me ofrepparttar 106379 powerful advantages of doing business online. Let's consider just a few of them...

1) Generate Multiple, Self-Sustaining Income Streams

The Internet allows you to generate multiple streams of income that are more or less on autopilot; an advantage which most types of businesses (and jobs) simply don't offer. While I was on vacation, my online business continued to generate paid orders on auto-pilot.

2) Internet Businesses are Portable

As I tossed aroundrepparttar 106380 possibility of relocating torepparttar 106381 beautiful countryside area that I visited on vacation, I was reminded how most people are geographically tied to their jobs.

Unfortunately, where most people live is largely dictated by where they work. And if they don't live near their jobs, lots of commuting is required, a major headache.

However, if you earn your income online, you haverepparttar 106382 flexibility of living and working most anywhere that you want, as long as you have Internet access. There aren't many businesses or jobs that give such freedom to choose where you live.

Since you can operate an online business from home, your commute to work may involve nothing more than a leisurely stroll from your breakfast table to your desktop computer. No traffic hassles, office politics, or related headaches.

3) Low Startup and Overhead Expenses

Low startup and overhead expenses mean low risk. If you try opening a retail store, manufacturing plant or other offline business, chances are you'll need several thousand dollars just to open your doors, let alone payrepparttar 106383 monthly bills. Not so with an Internet business, which you can start, build, promote and maintain on a shoestring budget.
