Come as You AreWritten by Joyce C. Lock
Have you ever dreamed of being such a wonderful person and devoted servant of Christ that …your heart overflowed with love toward your fellow man? others could, truly, see Christ in you? it would be a joy being in your presence? people would come to you, seeking godly wisdom; their ears falling upon your every word. moment you entered a room, atmosphere would suddenly change? whenever your mouth opened, most humble words would flow? from your speech would come words of comfort, healing, and direction? you would be able to know needs of, both, those near and across way? you could actually hear voice of God direct and help you in reaching out to others, as if He were doing it Himself? you could leave any situation and hear God say, "Well done?" We’ve all probably thought, "That could never be me!" But, scripture says it can ... that, when we walk with God, we never walk alone; to open our mouths wide and let Him fill it, to encourage one another daily, and to follow Him.
| | Color Me LoveWritten by Joyce C. Lock
For those who walk in flesh, law is given. Some only see in black and white. And, yet, there is a more excellent way. Others see in color and, when they do, that color is love. "Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God." 1 John 3:21 The Bible tells us to love our enemies, pray for them, turn other cheek, and many like things. It also tells us to stand against evil. There are times to pluck up that which was planted, to shake dust off our feet, and more. If we hold to law, we remain captive in circumstances that God gave us other provisions for. We still adamantly believe in law. The difference is that we trust God to reveal to us which law He requires at any given time. What ever God speaks to us is ultimate/absolute law. Praise God, He is a Living God! "Neither have I gone back from commandment of his lips; I have esteemed words of his mouth more than my necessary food." Job 23:12 The whole entire law is complete and fulfilled through following this one verse: thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. If you do that, you have covered God's intent for every law within Bible.
