Choosing the Right House PlanWritten by Dascar Daniel
Now that you have made that bold decision to build a home of your dream, it absolutely important to get best home you can imagine. For you and all of us, building home of our desire is one time affair in our life time. As a consequence, right home plan is very crucial in your scheme of things. One can’t build a home until a blue print is clearly drawn initially in mind of owner; perhaps idea of a great home is planted in mind, just like a seed is sown in soil. Once seed is nurtured in your mind, you can start laying foundation; visualize how home looks and exact needs of your family. Just try to nurture idea of that dream home in your mind. However, to jumpstart building your home, you need to be extra careful. Just remember that it is a one time affair. You can’t just go wrong- ever. It will be too costly. Finding “right plan” may be too difficult and confusing. How ever, it is ultimate key to success of constructing a new home. You probably have a vague idea of type of design you wanted to build. Plenty of options beckon you- thousands of designs to choose from, single story versus multistory, home style with great decoration ideas, traditional or modern type, an out door porch or an attached green house. These choices can be bewildering; putting all those ideas together and taking in to account all those tiny bits of details that go in to your home, can be very daunting and some times exasperating. How ever, a bit of smart and right thinking can lead to a series of wise decisions leading to construction of a model home. One important way to help explain what you would like to see in your new home is to make a list of all those positives and negatives of house you used to live before. You and your spouse know by now, what you liked about that house, so just make a list of all pluses and minuses. Just sort out most liked ones and come to a proper conclusion. Add to this list, all those minute things that need to go in to your future home. Take your spouse and children in to confidence; after all you are going to live with them in your home. Once list is ready, prioritize them in to different categories. Just to lead you, here is a small check list, which can lead you to take some decisions: First and foremost, ask yourself whether you are married or single. Requirements and specs do change just on this one single point. If married, do you have children in your family or planning to have some in future? If yes, are you planning to construct separate room for each child or will they be sharing room? How many bath rooms are necessary to cater to your daily needs? Will you and your spouse frequently work at home? Do your in-laws stay with you in future? Do you require separate formal and informal spaces for different occasions? Do you wish to add workshop and garage facilities adjoining house? Once a comprehensive list is made, consider major elements you would like to have in your new home; style, number of floors, total area of livable spaces with outdoor living areas, total number of baths and bed rooms, number of formal and informal gathering areas and type of kitchen you need. Just ponder over about your children; perhaps right now your kids might be staying with you, so a two story house sounds like a good idea. But in future, if they are going off on their own, a big home might be too big to maintain!
| | How will you achieve success?Written by Douglas Titchmarsh
What does success mean to you?To some people it means driving a flash car and flashing wads of cash around to show they are doing well. To others it is spending time with their family, having achieved happiness in their life. Your personal idea of success, and being successful will differ from someone else's, but is very important to you. Without spending some time thinking about your success, how will you know if you are achieving it? Take some time now and think about it. Now start working towards it, and set goals to make you successful. Goal setting is important to your success, so you better do it right too. Here are some important things to remember about goal setting 1. break your main goal (success) into smaller ones These small steps towards an ultimate goal are in some circles known as "eating elephant" because you couldn't eat whole elephant in one go, but cutting it into bite sized chunks makes it possible to achieve a seemingly impossible task. 2 Don't set unachievable goals- when you don't hit them they will be a major setback. You wouldn't decide to climb mount Everest on your first hill walk or expect to build your own house because you have a new toolkit, so be realistic about your goals here too. 3 Write them down, and make them real, also imagine life as it will be when you have achieved each goal.
