Changing Your Scars from Sand to Stars

Written by Joyce C. Lock

Asrepparttar Sand ofrepparttar 126627 Sea: wave beaten, had for lunch, spit out, drug throughrepparttar 126628 mire, washed ashore; then stomped on.

Fear ye not me? saithrepparttar 126629 Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placedrepparttar 126630 sand forrepparttar 126631 bound ofrepparttar 126632 sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and thoughrepparttar 126633 waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone. Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fearrepparttar 126634 Lord our God, that giveth rain, bothrepparttar 126635 former andrepparttar 126636 latter, in his season: he reserveth unto usrepparttar 126637 appointed weeks ofrepparttar 126638 harvest.

Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you. For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpassrepparttar 126639 deeds ofrepparttar 126640 wicked: they judge notrepparttar 126641 cause, repparttar 126642 cause ofrepparttar 126643 fatherless, yet they prosper; andrepparttar 126644 right ofrepparttar 126645 needy do they not judge.

Shall I not visit for these things? saithrepparttar 126646 Lord: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? A wonderful and horrible thing is committed inrepparttar 126647 land; The prophets prophesy falsely, andrepparttar 126648 priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do inrepparttar 126649 end thereof? Jeremiah 5:22-31. ____________

Yetrepparttar 126650 number ofrepparttar 126651 children of Israel shall be asrepparttar 126652 sand ofrepparttar 126653 sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that inrepparttar 126654 place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye arerepparttar 126655 sons ofrepparttar 126656 living God, Hosea 1:10.

And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt knowrepparttar 126657 Lord.

And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saithrepparttar 126658 Lord, I will hearrepparttar 126659 heavens, and they shall hearrepparttar 126660 earth; Andrepparttar 126661 earth shall hearrepparttar 126662 corn, andrepparttar 126663 wine, andrepparttar 126664 oil; and they shall hear Jezreel. And I will sow her unto me inrepparttar 126665 earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God, Hosea 2:19-23.

If you haven't personally feltrepparttar 126667 waves roaring, your foundation shaking, repparttar 126668 earth around you quaking ~ you may have already been there, done that, and foundrepparttar 126669 Living God and His Kingdom.

But, more than likely, you're experiencing more sea than anyone one person should experience in an entire lifetime. You may be inrepparttar 126670 process of discovering that nothing you've ever been taught or believed in has prepared you for overcoming spiritual warfare.

By your dependence uponrepparttar 126671 faith and teachings of others, or even by your study of God's word using anything but scripture's definitions, you may be discovering that not even God's word works to overcome these battles. And, by lack in truly knowing God, you may, thereby, have also beenrepparttar 126672 source of tribulation for others.

However, if none ofrepparttar 126673 above applies, you may be no threat to Satan at all. ____________

The ultimate purpose of tribulation is to bring us torepparttar 126674 place of enteringrepparttar 126675 Kingdom of God, Acts 14:22, because, without it, we could never be that camel making it throughrepparttar 126676 eye of a needle, Luke 18:25. We are equipped with such strong instincts of survival that we actually have to come torepparttar 126677 end of ourselves to find something even better.

Like it or lump it, this is how it is. There is no longer peace by followingrepparttar 126678 religious status quo. We are leavingrepparttar 126679 church age and enteringrepparttar 126680 age ofrepparttar 126681 Kingdom of God, preparing for Jesus' return, and setting up His Kingdom to where God will again dwell with man. God wants His throne back, in YOUR heart and life. (Don't worry about what someone else is doing.)

As previously shared, I once asked God how many prophecies have to come to pass. His response was, "As many as it takes."

THE NURSING HOME MINISTRY

Written by Irvin L. Rozier

Isaiah 61:1: "The Spirit ofrepparttar Lord God is upon me; becauserepparttar 126626 Lord hath annointed me to preach good tidings untorepparttar 126627 meek; he had sent me to bind uprepparttar 126628 brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty torepparttar 126629 the captives, andrepparttar 126630 opening ofrepparttar 126631 prison to them that are bound;"

About a year after I was called by God to preach, a door of opportunity opened up for me to preach at a local nursing home. As I walked downrepparttar 126632 hall torepparttar 126633 chapel area, my eyes were filled with tears of compassion forrepparttar 126634 condition ofrepparttar 126635 folks I encountered. Overrepparttar 126636 next few years, repparttar 126637 Lord opened doors in nursing homes in several surrounding cities whre I ministered for a season. Yet, this first nursing home I preached at was to remain part of my ministry for fifteen years.

One thing about nursing homes is thatrepparttar 126638 folks come just as they are. Some in wheelchairs, some on walkers, some walking or being pushed in wheelchairs by another resident. It was a supreme effort for many to be at a church service andrepparttar 126639 Lord looked with favor upon our times together. I had to berepparttar 126640 choir director, repparttar 126641 Sunday School teacher, repparttar 126642 special singer, andrepparttar 126643 preacher. The Lord surely taught me many things during this ministry.

We never took an offering, yet one particular lady would always present me with something. It might be a penny, a soda cracker, a piece of candy, or a coupon for something. She had a nervous breakdown when her Mama ran off with her husband. This special lady had been well-educated, she could speak Greek, could playrepparttar 126644 piano, and sing fairly well. She would always dress in her choir robe when she came torepparttar 126645 service. I believerepparttar 126646 Lord has a special place in Heaven for folks like her.

Brother Dixon would be atrepparttar 126647 front waiting on me to arrive. He couldn't or wouldn't talk but whenrepparttar 126648 songs were being sung, he'd sing right along with everyone else. His favorite was "Amazing Grace". When I would preach and state a truth, he would shout "Amen" and "Right about that!" Other than that, he wouldn't carry on a conversation. HIs job was to carry my Bible torepparttar 126649 chapel. When he saw me, he would give out a great big smile and reach forrepparttar 126650 Word. He would lay it in his lap and I would roll his wheelchair to this spot. He always wanted to be right inrepparttar 126651 front. The "Amen corner" I called it. He's been in Heaven for some time now but his faithfulness, despite his handicaps, remains with me forever. He was an inspiration.
