Cable vs DSLWritten by Bradley James
Okay, so you are finally tired of those slow dial-up internet connections, and you want to go broadband. Good deal. But first, you may be wondering which type of broadband connection is best- DSL or Cable? Or, at least, which of two gives you more speed for price? Here we take a look at these two popular broadband connections and try to determine which one is better: DSL vs. Cable.
Cable Speed vs. DSL
The most common question that comes up is which type of connection is faster, DSL or Cable? To answer this, it is important to compare both upload and download speeds. Now, so you have something to compare these speeds to, your average dial-up connection is about 28 - 56 Kbps. Most often, however, you won't be able to get 56k through dial up, as most services can not handle this speed.
The average speed of a DSL download is 1.0 - 1.5Mbps. That's megabytes per second - about 20 times as fast as fastest dial-up connection. This is fast, but consider Cable, which can give you up to 2 - 3Mbps. Thus, at least for downloading, cable can give you almost twice speed of DSL - that's impressive. On upload side, however, cable and DSL are pretty evenly matched. They both provide about 100Kbps - 400Kbps. It seems that cable has won this battle.

1. Affiliate marketing: Affiliate marketing consist in relationship between web site owners and merchant. Web site owners put merchants advertisement (usually text link or banner) on their page and merchant pays commission from each deal to site owner. The advantage of this promotion method is fact that you can never loose your money for inefficient advertising because you pay only in case you earn some money. If you want to start your own affiliate program you can buy one of many available scripts or use some of affiliate networks like Link Share or Commission Junction.
2. Search engine optimization (SEO): Search engine optimization is one of most effective (and one of hardest) ways how to get large number of very good targeted customers. If you are a search engine optimization specialist, make a SEO analysis and optimize your web site for some effective keywords. If you know nothing about SEO try to find some basic information on Internet and optimize for easy keywords or hire some SEO company. The advantage of search engine optimization is fact that you get visitors who want to buy goods (or services) which you offer. The disadvantage is long time necessary for successful optimization.
3. Pay per click (PPC): There are several search engines offering pay per click program. Advertiser choose keyword and bid. If visitor search for this keyword, advertisements targeted for this keyword are displayed. If more advertisers select same keyword advertisements are sorted by bid (except google AdWords, there advertisement position depends on bid and click rate). The big advantage of pay per click system is fact that you can start your campaign during a few minutes.
