To him that rideth upon
heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice. Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in way, and to bring thee into place which I have prepared. As cold of snow in time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth soul of his masters. Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as Lord's servant?
Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from beginning; from time that it was, there am I: and now Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me. So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in thing whereto I sent it.
But Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein; For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to house of Israel; Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand.
And I will restore to you years that locust hath eaten, cankerworm, and caterpiller, and palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
For thus saith Lord of hosts; After glory hath he sent me unto nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth apple of his eye. For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that Lord of hosts hath sent me. And many nations shall be joined to Lord in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in midst of thee, and thou shalt know that Lord of hosts hath sent me unto thee.
The hands of Zerubbabel have laid foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you. And they that are far off shall come and build in temple of Lord, and ye shall know that Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey voice of Lord your God.
As for thee also, by blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of pit wherein is no water. And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith Lord of hosts.
Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare way before me: and Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even messenger of covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith Lord of hosts. Pray ye therefore Lord of harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.
Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me. And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
And angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.
The Spirit of Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach gospel to poor; he hath sent me to heal brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to captives, and recovering of sight to blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, And he said unto them, I must preach kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.
When men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. And he sent them to preach kingdom of God, and to heal sick. And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, same shall be great.
Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but labourers are few: pray ye therefore Lord of harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.
He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me. Therefore also said wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute: I am come to send fire on earth; and what will I if it be already kindled? And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.
For God sent not his Son into world to condemn world; but that world through him might be saved. For he whom God hath sent speaketh words of God: for God giveth not Spirit by measure unto him.
Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. That all men should honour Son, even as they honour Father. He that honoureth not Son honoureth not Father which hath sent him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
