An Awesome Dad in by no means perfect. But that itself is perfect, because imperfection allows us to really understandrepparttar personal evolution our children are going through with us. The definition of an Awesome Dad, then, isrepparttar 110779 father who stays inrepparttar 110780 game, shows up fully and sets powerful intentions to grow into. Here are some:

I listen with my entire being - and without judgment. I seek first to understand and appreciate what my children say. From that vantage point, I will build their trust in me and be most supportive.

I see others as equals, neither superior nor inferior to me. Every person is a unique individual, just like everyone else onrepparttar 110781 planet. (hee hee)! We each have our own journey and everyone we encounter is integral to our life's objectives. Children are no less important and should be treated with equal respect.

Caroling or Tree Trimming Party

After a night out caroling with friends and/or relatives, invite everyone back to your house to help trim your Christmas tree and serve uprepparttar following drinks and snacks.

Hot Mulled Wine

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • Rind of 1 lemon
  • Rind of 1 orange
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
Directions:

Add all ingredients to a pot and steep gently over a medium heat until hot. Avoid boilingrepparttar 110778 mixture. Serve in sturdy mugs.

NOTE: This is good to make in a crock pot, too. Makesrepparttar 110779 house smell nice, also.

Kahlua Nog

  • 1 cup Kahlua
  • 1 pint dark rum
  • 1 quart egg nog
  • 1 pint chocolate ice cream
  • 1 pint coffee-flavored ice cream
Mix rum, Kahlua and egg nog in a large pitcher. Right before serving, pour 1/2 ofrepparttar 110780 mixture into a chilled large punch bowl. Add scoops ofrepparttar 110781 ice creams. Then addrepparttar 110782 remaining liquid mixture.

Peppermint Hot Chocolate

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 3 drops peppermint oil
  • Sweetened whipped cream for garnish
  • Candy Canes
In a saucepan, combinerepparttar 110783 cream, milk, sugar and chocolate and cook untilrepparttar 110784 mixture just begins to steam. Addrepparttar 110785 peppermint oil. Dividerepparttar 110786 hot chocolate into mugs and top with sweetened whip cream. Add a candy cane to each cup.
