Ask YourselfWritten by Selena Richardson
With beginning of a new year, are you happy with your life way it is now? You just set new goals and resolutions for 2003 but are you satisfied with where you are now? This is a serious question that you need to ask yourself. You can't get to where you're going if you don't know where you've been. You need to appreciate what you have now in order to be able to receive more. You want more money to flow into your life but are you grateful for what you have now? True it may not be as much as you would like to have but doesn't it pay bills now? And if not all of bills, doesn't that money help in some way? Instead of looking at negative aspects of life - turn them around and find positive part. Just like a battery, everything in life has a positive and a negative side. Your outlook on a potentially negative situation can alter your future. By focusing on negative parts, say you have an older car in need of minor repairs, you're causing more negativity to fall into play. Like attracts like. So more you focus on bad things - your car isn't running perfectly - more bad things are going to happen. The flip side of that is if you choose to focus on good things, you attract more goodness into your life. If you acknowledge fact that you have a car and even though it doesn't run in perfect condition anymore - it does get you where you need to go everyday. Being grateful for what you have and showing it opens doors for new possibilities.

What would your life be like if you kept doing everything same way? If you stood still for next 10 or 20 years and didn't make progress with anything? If you stayed stuck in same situations that you're in now?If you stayed at same job, with same pay, lived at same apartment? What if nothing changed but years? You still would have goals and dreams but what if you never took action on any of them? How long are you going to go through same story lines like soap operas do? Just changing names and faces as time rolls on. Is it going to take one, two or even ten years for you to figure it out? What is it going to take for you to realize that you are just replaying same events over and over again? You say you want to make a change in your life but you are afraid to take that first step. If you don't move you won't get anywhere. You'll be stuck in same situations and will repeat them over and over again. You can't let your fear keep you frozen. If you do you'll only have a life full of regrets and what ifs. Are you willing to forget your dreams and repeat same scenarios for rest of your life? Only to say that you lived a safe life. And what's point of life if you don't take risks every now and then?
