"Are We Diluting Our Own Profits... With Too Many 'Bonuses'?" copyright 2001 John EvansWhen we offer something for sale, it's a great incentive to give a bonus to purchaser. It makes buyers feel good about buying from us, and it makes us feel good that we have given something of real value. When ebooks started coming out, many were free, while others had to be purchased. They all, of course, are (usually) valuable in their content, and also valuable to author. Why to author? Simply because ebook carried author's messages, or links, which is main reason for an ebook in first place. But somewhere along line, whole idea of bonuses seems to have gotten out of hand. How? Follow this scenario: Marketer #1 writes an ebook, selling it for $17.95. As a bonus for ordering, you also receive 2 more ebooks, free if charge. Not bad, so far. But then, along comes Marketer #2, who buys from #1, and ADDS 3 more bonuses to ebook offer. Now we can receive 5 bonuses for our $17.95 purchase. Marketer #3 now buys package from #2, adds yet another 5 bonuses, for a total of 10 bonuses. And on, and on, and on. I've seen packages out there that are giving 15 and 20 bonuses with your purchase.

"Don't Pass Up SOLO Ads... You Just Might Miss 'The' Good One!" copyright 2001-02 John EvansFor a fact, I used to just delete 'solo' ads. Mind, I said "used to." But not any more! Why? Good question, and deserves an equally good answer. Just as many of you, I receive a number of Solo ads each day. They didn't appeal to me very much, because I figured they were just a waste of time. WRONG...! I was wasting my time by NOT reading them! Look, what's REAL purpose of your subscribing to, and reading, any ezine? Personally, I have several reasons, and I'll bet you do, as well. See if any of these match your own reasons: 1. They are great places to place your ads. And, if they're FREE ads, that's even better. 2. And of course, you will want to SEE your ad. Right? 3. I'm not an expert on Online Marketing. So, these ezines, because of all their informational content, help me on many subjects, give me ideas, tell me about new programs, let me know about scams, or viruses. This list could go on, but you get idea. 4. The ads themselves can be of great help in finding those new programs or ebooks, new ezines, or other advertising facilities. 5. Now, about those Solo ads. Read number 4 again. "New programs or ebooks." Most of ads, because of space limitations ezines need to place on each ad (4 or 5 lines), ad really can't tell you a whole lot.
