The Fearless Caregiver Conference at Broward Convention Center will be held Saturday, April 16th. The event allows family caregivers and professional caregiving community to come together and explore ways to be a more productive member of their loved one’s care team. According to Olga Bruner, founder of A Good Daughter, Inc., based in Margate, Florida (www.agooddaughter.com), “I attended my first caregiver conference in 2001 while I was caregiver to my own mom. I never realized that there was such a large community of support, and resources available from local experts. It’s a must-do especially for those individuals caring at home for a loved-one with Alzheimer’s disease.”As Today’s Caregiver Magazine celebrates its 10th anniversary, families will hear from this year’s featured guest speaker, popular musical artist and American Idol superstar, Clay Aiken, who has been involved in care giving issues himself and founded Bubel/Aiken Foundation. Brunner’s community involvement throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties continues a few days later when she will speak at FAU (Florida Atlantic University) campus on April 20th. The presentation will address options available to students in Health Administration Degree programs. Brunner notes, “This is an important topic because students need to be aware that they can they seek employment from a large facility or health care institution, or look for entrepreneurial caregiving opportunities right in their own communities.”

How many times do you find you are having to create worksheets, or resources and then they just remain on your own computer, or in a resource source for your own school?A few years ago a friend and I were chatting about this and came to a great idea. Lets use all our own resources we had created anyway and place them all on internet for other teachers to use. These days site attracts about 1000 visitors a day. Two years ago and lots of mistkaes earlier however it had an attraction rate of 25 a day. So I thought I would outline how to make a low ranking website into a top website. The first is quality of your resources. There are already far too many poor resources on website, so make sure your resources really are worth waiting for and downloading. This in turn will form word of mouth. Also offer all your resources for free - those sites which charge for passwords seem to last about 6 months and disappear - and number of users you get drops away steeply! The next thing to complete is making sure 'keywords' at top of your website are a maximum of 3. This helps to keep you focused. If you want to change subjects, make a new page. By doing this I found that I could make 'typing game' appear on top of Google's rankings 2 weeks after I had made page. Other sites link into top ranking sites.
