All the SameWritten by Joyce C. Lock
When a friend shared how her counselor had said that God’s chosen people were His favorite, that there are some He loves more, you can bet I came up for air. I can only imagine how horrible that would be if I even thought that God couldn’t love me as much as He does others. Were that true, we could never find our rightful place with Him. I see same mentality in others. Some think saving souls is everything. Several give their all to ministering to Christians. More think loving Jew is what is going to bring them acceptance, favor, and reward from God. But, God said, "Sow beside all waters," Is. 32:20. His vengeance is promised for Jew and Christian, alike. His blessings are promised for all areas of service given by heart. Each and every calling is equally important. God didn’t pick a favorite.

If we truly believe knowledge will pass away, why; spend lives competing to know about God, think our training is omnipotent truth, and war over doctrinal differences (causing separation of company from those not like us)? Brother against brother is a testimony lost people notice. When standing before God, He won't be asking what we believe, how much we know, or even where we studied. Though, we are accountable for 'who' we believe; gods or God. With humorous intentions, a young teen expressed interest in having a T-shirt designed to read, "I only do what voices tell me to do." "The children of this world are in their generation wiser than children of light," Lu. 16:8. Jesus said, "My sheep HEAR my voice ... and they follow me," Jn. 10:27. "Be more ready to HEAR, than to give sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil," Ec. 5:1. Wisdom begins once we stop telling God what He believes, ask Him, and listen for His answer. The Spirit of truth will guide us into all truth, Jn. 16:13.
