Acne affects people of every age, gender, and race. It usually strikes in plainly visible locations such as face, neck, chest and back. Acne can be caused by a number of factors such as contact with an oily substance, use of certain medication, steroids, or secretion of certain hormones. Over ninety percent of acne patients respond to treatment, although treatment may need to be continued for months or even years. Here are a few natural remedies that you can use to cure acne. What Causes Acne? As mentioned above, acne can be caused by a number of factors. Common causes of acne include contact with an oily substance such as mineral oil, vegetable oil, or petroleum and use of certain medication such as steroids or contraceptive pill. However, acne is most often caused by secretion of androgens, or sex hormones that are initially secreted at onset of puberty. Androgens are male hormones but they are secreted by females as well. They stimulate production of oil from skin's oil glands. When these oil glands become overactive and exit from gland is blocked, oil builds up in gland and they begin to swell. This is how acne forms. A bacteria called Propionibacterium acnes normally colonizes this swollen gland causing development of inflammation and pus. In particularly severe cases, glands may burst into skin and produce cysts. Recently health practitioners are associating acne with a fungus on face. A clogged colon can also contribute to acne. We recommend using a colon cleanser like Oxy-Powder to keep bowel clean. How Can I Cure Acne? Home Remedies: •A non-oily face wash that contains tea tree oil or echinacea can help to reduce incidence of acne breakouts. Wash your face twice a day in morning and evenings and rinse thoroughly with warm purified water. •Avoid oily and chemically ridden cosmetics or any facial products that contain socetyl stearate, isopropyl isostearate, isopropyl palmitate, isopropyl myristate, and sodium chloride, parabens as these ingredients can cause acne. •Give dry skin extra care, being sure to wash and rinse your face thoroughly and using products especially made for dry skin. •Natural astringent cleansers work to remove oil buildup that may become blocked in skin's glands. These products may cause dryness, itching, and redness, so be sure to use them only on problem areas. •Oxy-Skin™ is also a very effective natural remedy for elimination of acne. Herbal Remedies: Herbs such as chamomile, lavender, juniper, bergamot, dandelion root, and burdock root can be used to reduce toxicity and improve overall condition of skin. Echinacea and poke root are often used for their anti-inflammatory properties and red clover may be beneficial for its estrogenic action. Witch hazel has excellent astringent properties and may be very effective on acne. Here are a few natural herbal recipes to cure acne.

Wrinkles are quite literally a sign of times. They are caused by both genetic and environmental factors such as sunlight, make up, chemical ridden cosmetics, cigarette smoke, and other pollutants. But regardless of their cause, many women find their laugh lines to be no laughing matter. So what can we do to prevent and stall skin damage that causes wrinkles, laugh lines, age spots, and other bothersome blemishes? How Can I Prevent Wrinkles? The best way to prevent wrinkles is to follow a regular skin care routine, and to adamantly protect your face from detrimental effects of sun. You need to cleanse your skin on a daily basis to remove perspiration, debris, and pollutants that can buildup and damage your pores. And use a natural sunscreen (with a minimum SPF 15) to shield your face from sun’s damaging ultraviolet rays. Also, avoid smoking, alcohol, and caffeinated beverages that dehydrate skin. Drink plenty of purified water to keep your skin supple, hydrated and healthy. When Should I Start Using Anti-Wrinkle Creams? You can start using anti-wrinkle creams before you even see a wrinkle appear. Eye creams in particular are effective at supporting delicate area around eyes and preventing or stalling development of wrinkles. Many women (and men) start using anti wrinkle creams in their thirties. The skin’s natural levels of collagen diminish with age and anti-wrinkle creams may offer a suitable replacement. These creams may be too heavy for younger, thicker skin, so you’ll have to determine whether or not they’re right for your skin type. I recommend using all-natural products, organically certified if possible. How Can I Diminish Wrinkles? There are numerous products and techniques available today to help you diminish appearance of wrinkles. Herbal creams and vitamin supplements can be used to reduce effects of aging on skin. You must choose which product or method is best for you based on number and severity of your wrinkles and level at which they bother you. Anti-Aging Products and Ingredients Vitamin A: Vitamin A yields a slight inflammatory action on skin. It can help to “puff up” skin and diminish depth of many wrinkles. Vitamin C: This water-soluble vitamin helps to improve circulation and boost production of collagen within body. It has a brightening affect on skin that has become dull and dry with age.
