Mareydt d23 __________________________________________________________ A Word Fitly Spoken A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. Proverbs 25:11Epiphany ~ A comprehension or perception of reality by means of a sudden intuitive realization: "I experienced an Epiphany, a spiritual flash that would change way I viewed myself" Frank Maier. ~ Webster's Unabridged Dictionary Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday Epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience Life and World. ~ John Milton English Poet, Historian and Scholar Mysterious and purely reflective as an illusive event which eclipses all other events; Epiphany stands alone. There is no racing in pursuit to capture it and most certainly there is no amount of money that can purchase it. Seemingly, there is never any perceived explanation for it's appearance. Certainly little less is conjured in relationship to it's unprecedented timing. Epiphany's stealthily escape all manmade efforts of control, only providing major quantum leaps within man's psyche. There just is not any rationale to it's luminous identity.Epiphany's can play upon our minds in blitheful strokes of ingenuity. Gentle and perfectly ordered to provide an essence of ease and peace, propelling Life forward. Other times as a lightning bolt, Epiphany strike with blinding speed and precision. In one heart stopping second transporting and rearranging mind without so much as causing it's benefactor to lift a finger.
| | Breaking Goals Down To The BasicsWritten by Jeffrey Rolo
One of primary reasons why people fail to execute their goals is they set forth unrealistic or overly complex goals. Most of us have tendency to look at finish line without paying much consideration to distance between end point and us. Here are a couple examples to illustrate this point:- My goal is to lose 80 pounds by next year.
- My goal is to lose 8 pounds a month each month until I reach
grand goal of 80 pounds.
Or how about this one? - My goal is to save up enough money to take a cross-country vacation next summer.
- My goal is to save $30.00 each week so that 50 weeks from now I will have accumulated $1,500.00 for
vacation expenses. I will do this by using grocery coupons, downgrading my cable plan and dining out one time less per week.
The majority of us lay out our goals in general manner exhibited by first statement in each of two examples above, but unfortunately they are so aimless and expansive that unless you are particularly motivated and disciplined chances are good you will give up long before you reach goal. On other hand, if you break down your expansive goals into an assortment of smaller goals that are easily achieved, you will find yourself far more focused and motivated. Each time you reach a milestone (the conclusion of a smaller goal), you will experience jubilation of success and be one step closer to your end goal.
