A Passion For SuccessWritten by Uche Onyema
Dream of ideal job for a minute. You wake up in morning about 8.30am or whatever time you choose and do a one-minute commute down stairs to your cosy home office at other end of your house. Still in your pyjamas, you begin day’s work with a nice cup of coffee with your favourite CD playing in background. After a couple of hours work you decide to take a break to watch your favourite program on TV, spend some time with your family and get something to eat. After having a shower you go back to work for another couple of hours. Later on you look out through window and see a beautiful sunny day and before long your kids come calling to ask you to take them to beach. So you decide to stop work for day, because you would rather be in sun, and rush off to get your swim suit, towel etc, jump into car along with your spouse and kids and head for local beach. It is a weekday and most people are at work so you pick best spot on beach and enjoy sights and sounds of nature, without usual traffic of people walking around and all over you. After a couple of hours and a nice tan you head back home. When you get to your PC you notice there is a new email message in your in box with subject “Congratulations, You Have Just Earned a Commission”. That’s right, you were making money while Soaking in sun on beach because you automated your marketing tools. OK. Time to wake up. This dream may seem unrealistic but there are many people in Internet Marketing industry living such dream lives. That is beauty of an internet based business. You can make money 24/7 even while you are asleep or on holiday, also because of global accessibility of internet you can work from anywhere you choose even on a cruise ship in Caribbean. However there are also many others who have failed to achieve this dream because they failed to turn their desires into burning passions that drive them to success. Many of us need to be stimulated into action by something or an event in our lives. It may be we hate or lost our jobs or we feel unappreciated and poorly paid. In my case, after birth of my son I felt obligated to improve my life and become financially independent because I was spending more time with my colleagues than I did with my son, and by time I got back home he was asleep. Most 9-5 workers spend about 10 hours a day travelling and working at office and most will do so until they retire at age of 65 with little to show for it. I dreaded this thought so much, it inspired me turn my desire for financial independence into a burning passion.
| | Find Time For Home Biz Success by Taming the Great Life StealersWritten by Doug West
We often hear from ones who say that they just don't have enough time to devote to their home business. They work full time, raise kids, take care of aging parents, or for other reasons are just too busy to devote much time to a biz. Still, they would like a home business if they could only find time. In this article we want to review some common areas where most folks tend to waste time, and how you can tame these life stealers.# 1 TV Viewing This ranks as greatest time stealer of all! "Wait a minute" you might say, "don't tell me to give up my favorite TV programs!" No, we are not going to tell you to quit watching TV altogether. However, with just a little effort you can save TONS of time that could otherwise be spent on your home biz. Consider some ideas: * Record Your Favorite Programs and Fast-Forward Through Commercials. This could trim off a third or more of time it takes to watch them. * Control TV - Don't let it Control You. Instead of vegetating in front of TV for hours, watching everything that comes on, try picking only programs you really want to see and setting recorder. Sometimes it may be good to just chill out in your easy chair and turn on tube, but once you get into habit of recording shows, you may find more recordings to view than you have time for. The more productive time you spend on your home business will start to become a habit (so will extra money that you earn from it!), you will spend less time with TV naturally, and find that you have more energy too! # 2 Recreation Here is another big time stealer. Everyone needs some recreation, but most of us think we need more than we really do. Consider that most folks work all week just for a few moments of fun on weekend. Back when I was working a J.O.B. factory was full of ones like this. They lived their lives for fun in sun. Never planning for anything but more recreation. When flag ship factory closed it's doors and laid most of us off, these same ones wanted to know how they would afford their boat payments, golf cart notes, vacation bills etc. Many had mortgaged themselves to hilt with recreation bills. I was smiling because I knew we would get a nice severance package, and that I could now focus full time on my home biz that I always had worked on side (I have toys too, and enjoy fun in sun, but I pay cash for those things or I don't buy them - no credit for me on recreation - no sir!). I had turned down a few weekends of pleasure seeking over years, but when whip came down, I'm sure glad I did! I work harder for myself than I ever did for someone else, but I control when I work, and how much I want to make. Since I love what I do, it really is not like work. I still limit myself on recreation, but when we do play, we really play well!
